Channing Perone (130) was pinned in the semifinals by the eventual
region champion, won in the consolation semi-final but lost, 3-0, in the third place match, ending his
season with a 31-5 record.

Girls BB (10-15) lost to Deptford, 49-34
Megan Larsen had 13 points & 13 rebounds and junior Kaitlin
DuRoss added 12 points & 4 steals. But the Raiders couldn't overcome 25 turnovers and 11-for-45
shooting.
Saturday, February 28th
Wrestling (3-19) finished 9th in District 32 Tournament (Absegami)
Sophomore Josh Hawn (103) and Channing Perone (130) were both
beaten in the semifinals. Perone won in the consolation round to finish third and advance to the Region 8
Tournament.
Friday, February 27th
Wrestling (3-19) at District 32 Tournament (Absegami)
In the preliminary round, sophomore Dan Williams won at 140 pounds
and Dan Boardman at 145. In the quarterfinals, sophomore Josh Hawn won at 103 and Channing Perone at
130.
Thursday, February 26th
Boys BB (10-14) defeated Hammonton, 57-51
The Raiders made 4 straight free throws in the final 53 seconds, two
each by Disston Vanderslice and Andrew Moore. Josh Davidson ended up with 15 points, 8 rebounds & 3
blocked shots.
Girls BB (10-14) lost to Atlantic City, 57-32
Nikki Hinsley scored 11 points but the Raiders fell behind by 14 at
the half and never caught up. Sophomore Tasha Cannon had 24 points, 18 rebounds & 10 steals for AC.
It was the final varsity game played in the Intermediate School gym.
Tuesday, February 24th
Girls BB (10-13) lost to Hammonton, 44-38
Megan Larsen scored 15 and junior Kaitlin DuRoss added 12 for the
Raiders.
Boys BB (9-14) lost to Shawnee, 66-45
Disston Vanderslice scored 10 points for OC which only trailed by
seven entering the fourth quarter. Shawnee made 56 percent of its shots, including 55 percent from
three-point range.
Friday, February 20th
Wrestling (3-19) defeated Holy Spirit, 41-37
Sean Hennessy, Dan Boardman and Mike Tyrrell each recorded
pins for the Raiders.
Boys BB (9-13) lost to Millville, 48-46
The Thunderbolts won on a pair of free throws by freshman Tyron
Johnson with 1.6 seconds left. Will Myers led the Raiders with 14 points, making his first three from
three-point range. That set a school record of nine straight over three games.
Thursday, February 19th
Boys BB (9-12) defeated Lower Cape May, 81-53
It was Senior Night and the last boys varsity game in the Intermediate
School gym. The "Fab 5", a group of seniors who saw limited action all year, got the start and exploded
to a 26-10 lead after one quarter. Will Myers scored 17 points, including a record 5-for-5 from three-point
range. Rich Coccodrilli added 15 points and Bill Stutzman had 12 points & 7 rebounds.
Girls BB (10-12) defeated Lower Cape May, 42-30
Junior Kaitlin DuRoss scored 13 points & sophomore Julie Treen
added 11 for the Raiders.
Wrestling (2-19) lost to Pinelands, 54-18
Channing Perone, Sean Hennessy & Lloyd Hayes each earned pins
to account for the OC points.
Tuesday, February 17th
Wrestling (2-18) defeated Sacred Heart, 54-24
John Trout, Jim Stewart, Scooter Williams, Mike Tyrrell & Lloyd
Hayes all won by pins as the Raiders won for the first time in 18 matches.
Girls BB (9-12) lost to Pleasantville, 54-33
OC took the early lead but was outscored in the final three quarters.
Kaitlin DuRoss had 11 points & Megan Larsen 10 for the Raiders. Marissa Franklin scored 26 for the
Greyhounds.
Monday, February 16th
Boys BB (8-12) lost to Kingsway, 76-69 OT
Junior Phil Schaffer had 18 points, 9 steals & 7 assists. Sophomore
Davey Beyel had 16 points & 12 rebounds with Disston Vanderslice adding 16 points. It was OC's third
overtime loss of the season.

Girls BB (9-11) lost to Wildwood Catholic, 48-40
The Raiders fell behind, 13-2, after the first quarter and never
recovered. Freshman Michelle McKinley had 9 points, 11 rebounds & 3 steals.
Thursday, February 12th
Swimming (10-2) in CAL Championships (Atlantic City)
Sophomore Renee Tomlin finished 1st in the girls 100-meter butterfly.
Girls BB (9-10) lost to Oakcrest, 60-32
The Raiders fell behind, 29-15, at halftime. Kaitlin DuRoss led OC
with 13 points. Oakcrest clinched its first-ever league basketball championship, winning the division
Boys BB (8-11) lost to Oakcrest, 64-50
Dave Beyel had 12 points & Josh Davidson 10 for the Raiders.
Like its girls tea, the Oakcrest boys clinched their first-ever league basketball championship with the
victory, winning the division.

Girls BB (9-9) lost to Sacred Heart, 50-42
OC gave the undefeated Lions a run, getting the lead down to
six points in the final 90 seconds. But the Raiders made just 26 percent of their shots. Kaitlin DuRoss
led OCHS with 13 points and 3 steals. Megan Larsen added 11 points and 6 rebounds. It was the final
game in the 2004 Shore Shootout at Mainland.
Saturday, February 7th
Boys BB (8-10) defeated Absegami, 58-49
The Raiders rebounded from a five-point first quarter deficit to earn a
split of the season's series with the Braves. Dave Beyel, who missed all five of his shots in the first period,
made 10 of his next 13 to finish with 20 points. Josh Davidson added 11, his sixth double-figure games in
the last seven. Phil Schaffer sparkled with 9 points, 5 steals and 9 assists.
Wrestling (1-18) lost to Collingswood, 60-15
Wrestling (1-17) lost to Woodstown, 48-19
Josh Hawn notched a pair of pins for the Raiders. Wayne Molosky
also won twice and Channing Perone lifted his record to 22-2 by winning his only match.
Thursday, February 5th
Swimming (10-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 117-68
Brian Riordan was a triple winner - taking the 50 freestyle, the 100
freestyle and joining Mike Corrigan, Amadeo Miguelarina and Renee Tomlin to win the 200 medley relay.
Tomlin also won the 500 freestyle and Miguelarina won the 100 breaststroke. It was OC's final dual meet
of the season & 9th straight win.
Girls BB (9-8) defeated Mainland, 48-34
The Raiders qualified for the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament for the
third straight season. Junior Kaitlin DuRoss poured in 23 points. Seniors Nikki Hinsley and Megan Larsen
controlled the boards while combining for 15 points.
Boys BB (7-10) defeated Mainland, 55-52
OC outscored the Mustangs, 14-5, in the second quarter to take the
lead en route to its first win over Mainland in three years. Andrew Moore and Josh Davidson led the way
with 11 points, Disston Vanderslice added 10 and Mike Hinsley scored 9. Phil Schaffer had 4 steals and
6 assists.
Wednesday, February 4th
Swimming (8-2) defeated Middle Township, 88-13
Swimming (9-2) defeated Pleasantville, 66-34
Justin Southard won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke in both
meets. Renee Tomlin added a win in the individual medley against Middle and a pair of relay victories.
Wrestling (1-16) lost to Oakcrest, 63-9
Channing Perone's 1st period pin and a decision by Wayne Molosky
accounted for the Raiders' points.
Tuesday, February 3rd
Girls BB (8-8) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 46-44
Kaitlin DuRoss hit a pair of free throws in the final minute and OCHS
kept its hopes of qualifying for the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament alive. Paul Baruffi's team rallied from a
10-point halftime deficit. Megan Larsen led Raider scoring with 16 points.
Boys BB (6-10) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 58-56
EHT's Ryan Lancaster hit a 14-footer with six seconds left to give
George McNally's Eagles the win and mathematically eliminate OCHS from the NJSIAA tournament. The
Raiders cannot reach .500 by the Feb. 7 deadline. Phil Schaffer scored a career-high 24 points for Ocean
City with Disston Vanderslice adding 10.
Saturday, January 31st
Girls BB (7-8) defeated Triton, 47-16
Kaitlin DuRoss led 11 Raider scorers with 8 points. Nikki Hinsley
grabbed 14 rebounds. The score was 33-0 early in the third period before Triton scored.
Boys BB (6-9) lost to Triton, 67-59
Andrew Moore had 17 points & 3 blocks, Josh Davidson scored 14
and junior Phil Schaffer had 10 points & 8 assists. Raiders led after three quarters but Triton rallied by
making 16 of 18 free throws in the final period.
Wrestling (1-14) lost to Mainland, 42-30
Wrestling (1-15) lost to St. Augustine, 48-23
Josh Hawn, Channing Perone, Wayne Molosky & Sean Hennessy
each won both his matches for Ocean City.
Thursday, January 29th
Boys BB (6-8) lost to Oakcrest, 71-55
Junior Phil Schaffer had 14 points and Josh Davidson added 12. Matt
Byrnes scored 28 & Ryan Staton 25 for Oakcrest.
Girls BB (6-8) lost to Oakcrest, 67-52
Megan Larsen scored 15 points for the Raiders and Kaitlin DuRoss
added 14. Erica Bell led the Falcons with 22. It was OC's sixth straight loss.

Sophomore Dave Beyel had 20 points on 9-for-9 shooting. Andrew
Moore (12), Josh Davidson (11) and junior Phil Schaffer (10) also hit double figures. Schaffer added 6
assists.
Girls BB (6-7) lost to Hammonton, 52-20
Megan Larsen had five points for the Raiders, who scored just six
points in the second half.

Wrestling (1-10) lost to Absegami, 75-6
Channing Perone's first period pin supplied OC's only points against
the No. 1 ranked team in the state.
Tuesday, January 20th
Swimming (6-2) defeated Millville, 65-29
Junior Justin Southard won the 100 & 200 freestyle and anchored a
relay win to help the Raiders to their 5th straight win.
Girls BB (6-6) lost to Middle Township, 38-31
Junior Kaitlin DuRoss had 15 points and Shannon Netherby 11 for
the Raiders, who were outscored, 11-2, in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Jane O'Donnell had 22 points,
including 4 three-pointers, for Middle. The next day she transfered to Wildwood Catholic.
Boys BB (5-7) lost to Middle Township, 66-59
A fourth quarter rally fell short for the Raiders. They trailed by 17 to
the defending South Jersey champs early in the fourth quarter but were down three with the ball with 30
seconds left. Junior Phil Schaffer had 20 points & 4 steals.
Saturday, January 17th
Girls BB (6-5) lost to Shawnee, 53-41
The Raiders trailed by four at the half but couldn't make up any
ground. Shannon Netherby and junior Kaitlin DuRoss each scored 9 for Ocean City. The game was part
of the new Cougar Classic at Cherry Hill East.
Wrestling (1-8) lost to Pennsville, 64-15
Wrestling (1-9) lost to Clearview, 41-27
Channing Perone won twice, improving his record to 12-2.
Thursday, January 15th
Girls BB (6-4) lost to Absegami, 78-28
The Raiders fell behind, 29-4, after one quarter against the
highly-ranked Braves. Megan Larsen paced OC with 8 points.
Boys BB (5-6) lost to Absegami, 59-57
Randy Dean nailed a foul-line jumper in the final seconds to hand the
Raiders another tough loss. OC forced 30 Gami turnovers but was beaten off the boards, 41-26.
Sophomore Dave Beyel had 18 points & 9 rebounds. Junior Phil Schaffer added 12 points & 6 assists.

Wrestling (1-7) lost to Buena, 66-6
A pin by sophomore John Trout in the final five seconds of his
112-pound bout provided OC's only points.

Swimming (5-2) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 119-66
OC won its 4th straight with sophomore Justin Perry (200 & 500
freestyle) and Brian Riordan (50 & 100 freestyle) both winning twice.
Monday, January 12th
Girls BB (6-3) defeated Millville, 51-39
The Raiders rallied to win their 4th straight. Megan Larsen scored
15 points and junior Kaitlin DuRoss added 12.
Boys BB (5-5) lost to Millville, 38-37
Tiquan Johnson hit a jumper in the final seconds to beat the Raiders.
Millville played ball control throughout the game, limiting OCHS to just 30 shots. Sophomore Pat Tolomeo
led the Raiders with 9 points & 3 assists.
Saturday, January 10th
Wrestling (1-4) lost to Lower Cape May, 54-24
Wrestling (1-5) lost to Middle Township, 43-36
Wrestling (1-6) lost to Gateway, 47-36
Channing Perone won twice but suffered his 1st loss. Wayne
Molosky was a three-time winner for the Raiders.
Swimming (4-2) at Hackney Girls Invitational Meet
Sophomore Renee Tomlin won both 200 freestyle & 100 butterfly.

Girls BB (5-3) defeated Lower Cape May, 35-28
Megan Larsen led a balanced attack with 9 points. Nikki Hinsley had
6 points & 11 boards.
Boys BB (5-4) defeated Lower Cape May, 55-50
The Raiders made 17 of 21 free throws for their 4th straight win.
Andrew Moore scored 15 points with sophomore Dave Beyel getting 12. Junior Phil Schaffer had 5 steals &
6 assists.

Junior Kaitlin DuRoss scored 20 points and Megan Larsen added 10.

9 rebounds and junior Phil Schaffer had 10 points, 4 steals & 6 assists.

Swimming (4-2) defeated Atlantic City, 106-80
Sophomore Mike Corrigan won the 200 IM & 100 backstroke for OC.
Wrestling (1-3) lost to Vineland, 36-33
The Raiders went into the final bout tied, 33-33. Channing Perone
won to remain undefeated. Lloyd Hayes got the heavyweight decision that tied the match.

Girls BB (3-3) defeated Vineland, 46-35
Junior Kaitlin DuRoss had 13 points, 11 rebounds, 8 steals & 5
assists. Shannon Netherby chipped in 12 points.
Boys BB (3-4) defeated Vineland, 44-40
Junior Phil Schaffer scored eight points in the final 32 seconds to
spark the winning OCHS rally. Andrew Moore had 11 points, 7 rebounds & 3 steals.
Monday, January 5th
Swimming (2-2) defeated Pleasantville, 74-26
Swimming (3-2) defeated Absegami, 81-18
Junior Justin Southard won both the 200 & 500 meter freestyle for
the Raiders, setting a school record of 5:34.84 in the 500. The old mark was 5:39.20 set by Brian
Kozakowski in 1995. Southard was also part of two relay wins. Sophomore Mike Corrigan won two events
for OC and was on a winning relay team.
Saturday, January 3rd
Wrestling (1-0) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 42-34
Wrestling (1-1) lost to Rancocas Valley, 69-6
Wrestling (1-2) lost to Millville, 45-33
Channing Perone remained undefeated with a trio of victories,
including two first-period pins and one forfeit. Charles LaRosa and Adam Coste each won twice.

Boys BB (2-4) defeated Cape May Tech, 39-37
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo nailed a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer for
the win in this showcase game of the Boardwalk Basketball Classic. Tolomeo and Dave Beyel each
scored nine points.
Sunday, December 28th
Indoor Track at Seton Hall Games
The girls distance medley team of Allie Moreland, Amy DeMichele,
Elizabeth Richardson and Brittany Sedberry finished second. So did the boys distance medley team of
John Fennekohl, Tim Burns, Paul Boardman and Mike Long.
Boys BB (1-4) lost to Camden Catholic, 67-39
Sophomore Dave Beyel led the Raiders with 12 points in this
championship game of the Boardwalk Basketball Classic. OC trailed, 28-19, at the half but couldn't handle
the defending state champs in the second half.
Saturday, December 27th
Boys BB (1-3) defeated Highland, 44-42
Sophomore Mike Hinsley scored a layup at the buzzer after a full-
court pass from Andrew Moore. Sophomore Pat Tolomeo led OC with 15 points and junior Phil Schaffer
added 14. The game was part of the Boardwalk Basketball Classic.
Girls BB (2-3) lost to Wildwood Catholic, 33-31 OT
Kaitlin DuRoss scored 14 points for the Raiders who trailed, 8-2,
after one quarter.
Wrestling (0-0) finished 6th at Woodstown Invitational
Channing Perone was first at 130 pounds for the Raiders, with Wayne
Molosky taking second at 135.
Friday, December 26th
Girls BB (2-2) defeated Bridgeton, 38-26
The Raiders won their first round game in the Boardwalk Basketball
Classic at The Wildwoods Convention Center. Freshman Danielle Brady sparked a second half comeback
to finish with 8 points & 5 rebounds.
Monday, December 22nd
Girls BB (1-2) defeated Mainland, 41-37
Kaitlin DuRoss scored 17 points and Nikki Hinsley added 12 as the
Raiders rallied in the second half for the win.
Boys BB (0-3) lost to Mainland, 50-49
OCHS had a 29-25 lead at halftime but scored just one point in the
third period. Andrew Moore scored 13 points to pace the Raiders.
Sunday, December 21st
Boys BB (0-2) lost to Sacred Heart, 69-68 OT
Junior Phil Schaffer had 21 points, 6 steals & 4 assists.
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo scored 17 and Andrew Moore added 13. The game was part of Prime Events
Tipoff Weekend at the Ventnor Education Community Complex.
Girls BB (0-2) lost to St. Joseph, 50-39
Megan Larsen scored 15 points but the Raiders never recovered
from an 11-0 first quarter deficit. The game was part of Prime Events Tipoff Weekend at the Ventnor
Education Community Complex.

Channing Perone was first at 130 pounds for the Raiders in this
competition with no team scoring.

Boys BB (0-1) lost to Atlantic City, 78-70 OT
OC led by six after three quarters and by two with nine seconds
left. Marcus Arrington scored with an offensive rebound to send the game into overtime. Andrew Moore
had 18 points, 9 rebounds & 5 assists. Junior Phil Schaffer had 17 points.
Girls BB (0-1) lost to Atlantic City, 49-38
Shannon Netherby and junior Kaitlin DuRoss led OC with 12 points
each. Sophomore Tasha Cannon scored 21 for AC, which led, 29-15, at the half.

Swimming (1-2) lost to Vineland, 65-61
Junior Justin Southard won both the 100 & 200 meter freestyle for
the Raiders. The meet came down to the final event, the 400 meter relay.
Tuesday, December 9th
Swimming (1-1) lost to Mainland, 124-62
Junior Justin Southard won the 100 meter freestyle, Ocean City's
only first place finish.
Tuesday, December 2nd
Swimming (1-0) defeated Oakcrest, 136-50
Junior Justin Southard won the 100 & 200 meter freestyle and
sophomore Renee Tomlin won the 100 butterfly & 200 individual medley. Southard joined in two relay wins
and Tomlin in one.
