Boys Track (3-4-1) at NJSIAA Meet of Champions (South Plainfield)
Brett Johnson won the 1600 meters in 4:09.03 to set a meet
record and a school record. Both were set by John Richardson in 2003.

Boys Track (3-4-1) at State Group 3 Meet (South Plainfield)
Brett Johnson won the 800 meters and joined John Carey,
Archie Harris and John Richardson as the only OCHS boys to win twice in one state meet.
Friday, May 30th
Boys Track (3-4-1) at State Group 3 Meet (South Plainfield)
Brett Johnson won the 1600 meters to become the first OCHS
male underclassman to win a state title in 72 years.
Tuesday, May 27th
Baseball (6-14) lost to Millville, 6-0
The Raiders managed only two hits off Millville ace Mike Trout.
Softball (4-15) lost to Millville, 4-2
Gina Favinger had a pair of singles with Kathleen Kleva
and Brooke Bugni getting RBI hits.
Saturday, May 24th
Boys Track (3-4-1) finished 7th in SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Brett Johnson won both the 800 and 3200 meters to complete an
unusual triple victory. He had won the 1600 on the first day. Miles Schoedler also qualified
for the state meet by finishing 6th in the 3200.
Girls Track (6-2) finished 16th in SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Erica Adams finished 6th in the 200 meters and the girls 4x400
meter relay team of Katie Corson, Shannon Greene, Kelsey Greene and Becky Canderan was 6th.
Crew at National Regatta (Oak Ridge TN)
The boys varsity lightweight 8 - Chris Stickel, Matt Newsome,
Pat Lavin, Jeff Buyse, Shawn Bryan, Corey Barnes, Adam Cordi, John Chester and coxswain Chad
Rummler - finished first. The girls varsity four - Shawnee Foglio, Alexandra Russo,
Alexa Antonioli, Heather Higbee and coxswain Nicole DeCredico finished also finished 1st.
Friday, May 23rd
Boys Track (3-4-1) at SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Brett Johnson won the 1600 meters in 4:23.67. Miles Schoedler
also qualified for the state meet by finishing 5th in the race.
Thursday, May 22nd
Boys Lacrosse (8-8) defeated Vineland, 4-2
Josh Crego scored twice to break a 2-2 tie and give the
Raiders a .500 season.
Softball (4-14) lost to Mainland, 3-2
The Raiders just missed a 3rd straight win when the
Mustangs scored the winner in the bottom of the 7th.
Wednesday, May 21st
Coed Golf (14-4) defeated Millville, 165-189
Matt Lombardi shot 38 and Justin Heckler a 40 at Greate Bay.
Girls Lacrosse (9-7) defeated Middle Township, 14-7
Nicole Benson and Erin Thomas each scored 3 times.

Tuesday, May 20th
NJSIAA State Group 3 Lacrosse Tournament:
Girls Lacrosse (8-7) lost to Moorestown, 18-2
Nicholl Steel and Erin Thomas each scored. It marks the 3rd
straight year in which OCHS has been eliminated by Moorestown.
Coed Golf (13-4) at Vineland (Buena Vista)
Boys Lacrosse (7-8) vs Vineland - postponed until 5/22
Monday, May 19th
Boys Lacrosse (7-8) defeated St. Joseph, 9-3
Trevor Allen scored 3 times with Drew Jankowski and
Joe Scrocca each scoring twice.
Baseball (6-13) defeated Lower Cape May, 12-9
Sean Feeney hit a record-tying home run with the bases loaded
in the 4th inning to spark OC to a comeback win. The Raiders scored 7 times in the 4th.
The homer was Feeney's 7th, equalling the school record set by Kyle Scott in 2000. He drove
in six runs during the game. Ryan Beebe also homered and Mike Hood contributed a double
to the 14-hit attack.
Boys Tennis (7-11) lost to Hammonton, 5-0
Saturday, May 17th
Crew at Stotesbury Cup (Philadelphia)
The girls varsity four - Shawnee Foglio, Alexandra Russo,
Alexa Antonioli, Heather Higbee and coxswain Nicole DeCredico finished 2nd to Peddie.
NJSIAA State Group 3 Lacrosse Tournament:
Girls Lacrosse (8-6) defeated Hightstown, 15-10
Nicole Benson and Erin Thomas each scored 4 times as
OCHS rallied from a 5-0 deficit. The Raiders will now face Moorestown, the No. 1 ranked
team in South Jersey, on Tuesday.

Joe Massaglia shot a 2-over 37 at Greate Bay, Matt Lombardi
and Justin Heckler carded 38s and Matt Galownia got a 39.
Baseball (5-12) lost to Atlantic City, 6-5
The Vikings scored four times in the bottom of the 6th to rally.
Softball (4-13) defeated Atlantic City, 9-4
Nicole Mangine hit a home run in her 3rd consecutive game and Kathleen
Kleva added a pair of singles. The Raiders scored two runs in each of the 4th, 5th and
6th innings to rally.

Coed Golf (12-3) finished 5th at NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament
Matt Lombardi shot an 83 in the 18-hole event at Running Deer.
Justin Heckler carded an 84 and Matt Galownia an 89.
Boys Tennis (6-10) defeated Vineland, 3-2
The Raiders ended a five-match losing streak with singles wins by Dan
Barrus and Cassidy Walcott and a first doubles victory by Charlie Nusbaum and Jordan Smith.
Softball (3-13) defeated Lower Cape May, 10-5
Shannon O'Neill had three hits including a grand slam home run. Nicole Mangine
homered in her 2nd straight game. Winning pitcher Gina Favinger had two doubles and two
singles.

The girls varsity four and the boys lightweight eight were
two of five OCHS boats to win races. The girls four comprised Shawnee Foglio, Alexandra Russo,
Alexa Antonioli, Heather Higbee and coxswain Nicole DeCredico. The boys boat included Chris
Stickel, Matt Newsome, Pat Lavin, Jeff Buyse, Shawn Bryan, Corey Barnes, Adam Cordi, John
Chester and coxswain Chad Rummler.

Thursday, May 8th
Coed Golf (12-3) at CAL Tournament
Sophomore Joe Massaglia bogeyed the 18th hole and finished
second by one stroke with a 2-over 72 at Atlantic City Country Club. He had registered 3
straight birdies on his back nine to move into a virtual tie with Middle Township's Alex
Hicks, who won the title. OC's Matt Lombardi finished 4th with a 76 and Elisa Mateer was
ninth with a 78.
Girls Track (6-2) finished 1st in County Meet
Erica Adams was a double winner, finishing 1st in the 100 meters and the
long jump. Other OCHS winners were Katie Corson (400), Kelsey Greene (400 hurdles) and
Laurie Vogel (pole vault). The 4x400 relay team of Shannon Greene, Kelsey Greene, Corson
and Becky Canderan also won for the Raiders, who won the team title in the meet for 29th
straight year.
Boys Track (3-4-1) finished 1st in County Meet
Greg Hoyle was a double winner, finishing 1st in the 100 meters and the
110 hurdles. And Mike Coletta set a meet record by clearing 13 feet, 2 inches in the
pole vault. Other OCHS winners were Connor Martin (800), Brett Johnson (1600), Stephen
Hoffman (3200), Tim Nickas (400 hurdles) and Jack Stephenson (javelin). The 4x400 relay
team of Nickas, Clayton Harper, Martin and Johnson also won for the Raiders, who won the
team title in the meet for 28th time in 36 years.
NJSIAA Group 3 Tennis Tournament:
Boys Tennis (5-10) lost to Cumberland, 4-1
Joe Petrini won in three sets at No. 2 singles.
Baseball (5-11) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 8-7
Sean Feeney hit a 3-run home run. He has now hit HRs in five of the last
six games and has six for the season, one short of the school record. Vinnie Murphy and
Ryan Beebe also homered. EHT scored 3 times in the bottom of the 7th but fell one run
short and failed to qualify for the Group 4 Tournament.
Softball (2-13) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 8-3
Nicole Mangine hit OC's 1st home run of the season and Gina
Favinger smacked a triple.
Wednesday, May 7th
Coed Golf (12-3) defeated Absegami, 166-192 (Seaview)
Joe Massaglia shot a 38 and Matt Galownia a 41.
Girls Lacrosse (7-6) lost to Mainland, 10-8
Ashley Dinan scored 3 times and Nicole Benson twice but
OC lost its second straight CAL game.
Boys Lacrosse (5-7) lost to Mainland, 6-4
Drew Jankowski scored twice.

Dan Barrus won in straight sets at No. 1 singles.

Girls Track (5-2) defeated Hammonton
Girls Track (6-2) defeated Oakcrest
Girls Lacrosse (7-5) lost to Millville, 6-3
The loss was OC's first in the conference and Millville tied them for
first place.
Boys Tennis (5-8) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
All five matches were in straight sets.
Baseball (4-11) defeated Absegami, 12-10
Sean Feeney and Mike Hood each hit a home run and a single. Colin Norton
also homered. Alex Troum got the win in relief.
Softball (2-11) lost to Absegami, 12-0
Amber Beaucheman pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12.
Monday, May 5th
Coed Golf (11-3) defeated Mainland, 153-164
Justin Heckler shot a 2-under 33 to lead the Raiders to the win at Greate
Bay that ended Mainland's 36-match win streak. Heckler had 3 birdies and 1 bogey on his
round. Matt Galownia, Matt Lombardi and Elisa Mateer each shot 40 as the Raiders won
their 6th straight.
Boys Lacrosse (5-6) lost to Kingsway, 8-7 OT
Trevor Allen scored twice for the Raiders, who fell below .500 with
three games left before the NJSIAA Tournament deadline.
Boys Track (3-3-1) defeated Hammonton, 103-37
Boys Track (3-4-1) lost to Oakcrest, 95-45
Brett Johnson won the 800 and 1600 meters in both meets and Mike
Coletta swept the pole vault with a personal best of 13 feet, 6 inches.

Shannon O'Neill had a pair of singles and Nicole Mangine doubled.

Anthony Babore's double was the only hit off Middle's John Hopkin, who

Matt Lombardi and Justin Heckler both shot 87 at Valleybrook. Joe
Massaglia was a stroke back at 88 and Matt Galownia carded an 89.
Boys Track (2-3-1) at Ironman Invitational
Junior Brett Johnson won the 1500 meters in 3:53.71, the fastest time
in the country this year and one of the 10 fastest times in New Jersey history.
