Girls Track (7-1) at NJSIAA Meet of Champions (South Plainfield)
Junior Renee Tomlin set a new school record (4:49.11) in the 1600
meters while finishing 2nd to sophomore Danielle Tauro of Southern in a classic battle.
Boys Track (6-2) at NJSIAA Meet of Champions (South Plainfield)
Junior John Oberg cleared 13-5 to finish tied for 8th in the pole vault.
Saturday, June 4th
Girls Track (7-1) at NJSIAA State Group 3 Meet, 10am (EHT)
Renee Tomlin became the first OCHS girl to win three state
championships when she won the Group 3 800 meters. Erin Walsh finished 6th and also qualified for the
NJSIAA Meet of Champions. As a team, the Raiders finished 6th.
Boys Track (6-2) at NJSIAA State Group 3 Meet (EHT)
John Oberg won the state Group 3 championship in the pole vault by
clearing 14 feet, his career best. He is the first OCHS underclassman to win a boys state track title since
Archie Harris in 1936. Oberg advanced to the NJSIAA Meet of Champions. OC was 15th in the team
standings.
Friday, June 3rd
Girls Track (7-1) at NJSIAA State Group 3 Meet, 3:30pm (EHT)
Renee Tomlin won the Group 3 1600 meters and adavanced to the
NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
Saturday, May 28th
Girls Track (7-1) at South Jersey Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Renee Tomlin won her 2nd South Jersey championship in two days,
taking the 800 meters in meet record time. Erin Walsh was 4th in the 800, Allie Moreland 4th in the 3200,
Alexandra DeCredico 5th in the pole vault & the 4x400 relay team was 3rd. All advanced to the state meet
next weekend at Egg Harbor Township.
Boys Track (6-2) at South Jersey Group 3 Meet (Buena)
John Oberg won the South Jersey championship in the pole vault
by clearing 13 feet, 6 inches. Jim Crowley was 2nd in the javelin, John Fennekohl 4th in the 3200 & Paul
Boardman 5th in the 3200. All advanced to the state meet next weekend at EHT.
Friday, May 27th
Girls Track (7-1) at South Jersey Group 3 Meet, 3pm (Buena)
Renee Tomlin won the 1600 meters with Allie Moreland finishing
3rd. Both advanced to the state meet June 3-4.
Boys Track (6-2) at South Jersey Group 3 Meet, 3pm (Buena)
Matt Cowhey finished 5th in the 1600 meters and advanced to the
state meet June 3-4.
NJSIAA GROUP 3 BASEBALL TOURNAMENT:
Baseball (14-9) lost to Delsea, 5-0
The Raiders out-hit the Crusaders, 8-5, including Matt Troum's
double, but couldn't push a run across.
Wednesday, May 25th
NJSIAA SOUTH A LACROSSE TOURNAMENT:
Girls Lacrosse (13-6-2) lost to Jackson, 9-7
The Raiders lost their first-ever tournament game despite a pair of
goals by Casey Beyel.
Golf (11-10) at NJSIAA Girls State Final
OCHS freshman Elisa Mateer shot a 95 at the Marriott Seaview Bay
Course to finished tied for 13th in the state. She is the 1st Raider girl to ever qualify for the event.
Tuesday, May 24th
Baseball (14-8) defeated Hammonton, 6-3
Mike Hinsley hit a 3-run homer to break a tie & put OC on top for
good. Hinsley drove home 5 of the Raiders' runs. Winning pitcher Graham Ginn had 2 hits & Doug
Stranges doubled.
Monday, May 23rd
Girls Lacrosse (13-5-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 15-11
Nikki Patrizzi had 5 goals, Aubrey Clark 4 goals & Stacie McKinley
3 assists.

Girls Track (7-1) at CAL Meet (Middle Township)
Renee Tomlin won the 800 meters, Allie Moreland won the 1600 and
the two teamed with Erin Walsh & Tiara Telymonde to win the 4x400 relay.
Boys Track (6-2) at CAL Meet (Middle Township)
Jim Crowley won the javelin, Paul Boardman won the 3200 meters
and John Oberg won the pole vault.
Girls Lacrosse (12-5-2) defeated West Deptford, 16-8
Nikki Patrizzi, Casey Beyel & Aubrey Clark each scored 4 times.
Softball (3-19) lost to Sacred Heart, 10-0
The Raiders managed just 2 hits in this game that was stopped
after 5 innings.

Wednesday, May 18th
Baseball (13-8) defeated Middle Township, 2-1
Mike Dugan doubled home Doug Stranges with the eventual winning
run in the top of the 7th. Jake Pollock was the winning pitcher.
Softball (3-18) lost to Middle Township, 3-1
The Raiders dropped their 8th straight. Laura O'Shea had 2 hits &
Julie Treen drove home the only run.

NJSIAA GROUP 3 TENNIS TOURNAMENT:
Boys Tennis (13-7) lost to Pinelands, 4-1
The 1st doubles team of Tim Byrne & Chris Vivarelli won a
three-setter for OC's only win.
Girls Lacrosse (11-5-2) defeated Middle Township, 20-6
Stacie McKinley, Nikki Patrizzi & Aubrey Clark each scored 3
goals.
Golf (11-10) defeated Cape May Tech, 168-213
Justin Heckler & Trevor Hamlin each shot 41 at Shore Gate.
Monday, May 16th
Girls Track (7-1) defeated Millville, 92-48
Sophomore Kayla Ghanavati won 3 events (100, 200, triple jump) and
both Allie Moreland (800, 1600) & Renee Tomlin (400, long jump) were double winners.
Boys Track (6-2) defeated Millville, 86-54
Jim Crowley tripled, winning the javelin, high jump and long jump.
Boys Tennis (13-6) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
Kelly Miller & Jaison Udani both took their singles opponents to
three sets. The Raiders finished the regular season with a reverse of last year's 6-13 record.
Baseball (12-8) defeated Sacred Heart, 2-1
Will Kleva drove home the winning run with a double. Starter Mike
Hinsley got the win & Justin Byrd the save, the two combining on a 5-hitter.
Sunday, May 15th
Crew Teams at Northeast Juniors (Mercer County Park)
The Ocean City boys won two heats, including the Junior Eight. The
boat included Bob Cisneros, Sean Foyil, Josh Murphy, Mike Staab, Curtis Gaver, Brian Fitzpatrick, Ryan
Huck, Tom Frost & coxswain Gene Taylor.
Friday, May 13th
Boys Tennis (13-5) defeated Absegami, 3-2
Jaison Udani won a three-setter at No. 3 singles and the first
doubles team on Tim Byrne & Chris Vivarelli also won in 3 sets to spark OC's 5th straight win. The second
doubles team (Lou Bellucci & Colin Halliday) won in straight sets.
Baseball (11-8) lost to Cumberland, 5-3
Another game down to the last few innings as Cumberland scored
3 in the 6th and another in the 7th for the come-from-behind win. Marc Hemby had a pair of singles.
Thursday, May 12th
Girls Track (6-1) finished 1st at Cape May County Meet (Middle Twp)
Melissa Hunter won three events (100, 200, long jump) as OC
outscored 2nd place Middle Township, 195-85. Allie Moreland (800 & 1600) and Amanda Shaw (shot put,
discus) both won twice. Ocean City has won the event all 26 times it has been held since it began in 1979.
Boys Track (5-2) finished 1st at Cape May County Meet (Middle Twp)
Jim Crowley won three events (javelin, 110 hurdles, high jump) and
was second in another (long jump) as OC outscored 2nd place Middle Township, 176-90. Mike Long won
twice (800 & 1600 meters) and John Oberg was also a repeat champion in the pole vault. The win was the
Raiders' 6th straight title and 26th out of the 34 county meets dating back to 1972.
Golf (10-10) at CAL Individuals (Atlantic City)
Wednesday, May 11th
Girls Lacrosse (10-5-2) defeated Kingsway, 13-1
The Raiders clinched the championship of the Olympic Conference,
National Division for the 1st time. Aubrey Clark & Mary Chirichella each scored 3 goals.
Boys Tennis (12-5) defeated Millville, 3-2
Kelly Miller won at No. 2 singles & both doubles teams prevailed.
Baseball (11-7) lost to Absegami, 5-2
Dan Bonato had 2 singles & the Raiders led most of the way. But
OC committed 9 errors, allowing Gami to rally in the final 2 innings.
Golf (10-10) lost to Absegami, 158-178 (Greate Bay)
Kevin McCarthy shot a 39 at Greate Bay.
Softball (3-17) lost to Absegami, 16-2
OC committed 7 errors in its 7th straight loss.
Monday, May 9th
Girls Track (5-1) defeated Atlantic City, 100-39
Girls Track (6-1) defeated Vineland, 85-55
Allie Moreland won the 800 & 1600 in both meets and Renee Tomlin
took the 400 & 400 hurdles.
Boys Track (4-2) lost to Vineland, 99-41
Boys Track (5-2) defeated Atlantic City, 73-67
John Oberg's pole vault win was OC's only win against undefeated
Vineland, which clinched the conference title with the win. The first wins by sophomore A.J. Harris (400
meters) and freshman Vinny Djukanovic (javelin) were among eight OC wins vs the Vikings.
Boys Tennis (11-5) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
Kyle Gibbs, Kelly Miller & Jaison Udani all won in straight sets.
Girls Lacrosse (9-5-2) lost to Cherry Hill East, 16-9
Nikki Patrizzi scored 3 goals for OC.
Baseball (11-6) defeated Millville, 3-2
Will Kleva's last inning double scored Dan Bonato with the winning
run. Mike Hinsley went the distance for the win and added his own double.
Golf (10-9) defeated Millville, 165-185
Rob Milburn shot a four-over 40 for the Raiders at Cohanzick.
Softball (3-16) lost to Millville, 11-0
The Raiders failed to get a base runner with two Millville pitchers
teaming for a five-inning perfect game.
Sunday, May 8th
Crew Teams at City Championships (Philadelphia)
The girls junior eight (Carly Stranges, Danielle Landi, Merin Read,
Danielle Brady, Theresa Laverty, Colleen Smith, Sarah Larsen, Beth Larsen & coxswain Allison Young)
and the boys second eight (Tom Krzyk, Sean Foyil, Sean Costigan, Ryan Skellenger, Curtis Gaver,
Brian Fitzpatrick, Ryan Huck, Tom Frost & coxswain John Tridente) both won their heats.
Saturday, May 7th
Girls Track (4-1) at Ike Willis Open (Rowan)
Allie Moreland, Erin Walsh, Kaitlyn Minehan & Renee Tomlin won
the 4x800 relay. And Moreland, Walsh, Tomlin & Kayla Ghanavati won the distance medley.
