Nikki Hinsley, Gwen Hunter & Rachel Cheafsky are among the 24
senior athletes from the Cape-Atlantic League to attend the party, which was broadcast live on
1490-THE GAME.
Wednesday, June 2nd
Girls Track (8-1) in NJSIAA Meet of Champions (South Plainfield)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry became just the 5th OCHS athlete
to win an event in the MOC when she won the 3200 meters in a school record time of 10:44.23. Sedberry
also took second in the 1600 meters, just missing Megan Hartman's school record by 7/10ths of a second.
Sophomore Renee Tomlin also finished second in the 800, bettering her own school record. The 4x400
meter relay team of sophomore Erin Walsh, junior Allie Moreland, Molly Minehan & Tomlin finished 9th
but broke the 10-year old school record by more than 2 seconds.
Saturday, May 29th
Girls Track (8-1) finished 3rd in State Group 3 Meet (EHT)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry added another state championship by
winning the 3200 meters in a school record time of 10:45.03, bettering her own time of 10:48.42.
Sophomore Renee Tomlin also won a state title, taking the 800 meters in 2:11.86. The 4x400 meter relay
team of Erin Walsh, Molly Minehan, Allie Moreland and Tomlin finished 4th and also qualified for the
NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
Boys Track (3-6) did not score in State Group 3 Meet (EHT)
Junior Jim Crowley missed a medal by three inches, finishing 7th
in the javelin despite a personal best throw of 163-11. Sophomore John Oberg was 8th in the pole vault
with a vault of 13 feet. Junior Mike Long finished 10th in the 1600 meters depite his best time.
Friday, May 28th
Girls Track (8-1) at State Group 3 Meet (Egg Harbor Township)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry won her first state track championship
by finishing first in the 1600 meters.
Tuesday, May 25th
South Jersey Group 3 Semi-Final
Baseball (11-8) lost to Deptford, 5-4 8 innings
OC led, 4-2, entering the seventh inning but Deptford tied the score
and won it in an extra inning. Wes Yakopcic had a double & single with Eddie Menchaca & Andrew
Bednarek each getting a pair of singles.
Monday, May 24th
Lacrosse (8-10) defeated Millville, 9-8
Junior Stacie McKinley scored twice in the final seven minutes of the
game to bring the Raiders back from an 8-7 deficit. Fran Scalfaro and junior Mary Chirichella also scored
twice.
Saturday, May 22nd
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament
Baseball (11-7) defeated Hammonton, 10-8
Reliever Andrew Bednarek pitched out of bases loaded situations in
both the 6th & 7th innings without allowing a run. Wes Yakopcic had a pair of triples, Doug Stranges had
a home run, and Chugger LaCasse & Mike Hinsley both doubled.
Girls Track (8-1) finished 2nd in SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Sophomore Renee Tomlin won the 800 meters in the school record
time of 2:10.96. The old mark was 2:12.77 by Lauren McHale in 1998. And sophomore Brittany Sedberry
won the 3200 meters in 11:14.27. The OCHS quartet of Erin Walsh, Molly Minehan, Allie Moreland &
Tomlin also won the 4x400 meter relay in 4:01.78. Others to advance to the state meet included Minehan
(4th) & Moreland (6th) in the 800; Elizabeth Richardson (4th) & Brenda Briney (6th) in the 3200; Lindsay
Zweibel (3rd) in the pole vault; and Leslie Robinson (5th) in the discus. OCHS lost to champion Highland
by 17 points.
Boys Track (3-6) finished 9th in SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Junior Jim Crowley advanced to next week's state meet by finishing
2nd in the javelin with a throw of 161 feet, 7 inches. Sophomore John Oberg also advanced with a 3rd in
the pole vault by clearing 13 feet.
Friday, May 21st
Girls Track (8-1) at SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry won the 1600 Meters in 4:58.03.
Other medal winners who advanced to the state meet included 2nd place Renee Tomlin, who was edged at
the finish in the 400; 3rd place Allie Moreland in the 1600; 5th place Elizabeth Richardson in the 1600; 5th
place Erin Walsh in the 400; 5th place Molly Minehan in the 400 hurdles; & 6th place Leslie Robinson in
the shot put.
Boys Track (3-6) at SJ Group 3 Meet (Buena)
Junior Mike Long advanced to the state meet next weekend by
finishing 3rd in the 1600 meters in 4:29.8.

Thursday, May 20th
Softball (7-13) lost to Middle Township, 2-1
Freshman Lauren Smith limited Middle to 4 hits while the Raiders
collected 7. But the Panthers made better use of their opportunities, including a successful squeeze bunt,
to earn the victory in the final OCHS game of the season.

Baseball (10-7) lost to Mainland, 3-1
Doug Stranges and Wes Yakopcic each singled for Ocean City, the
only two hits the Raiders got off of the Mustangs' Ryan Belz.
Golf (10-10) lost to Lower Cape May, 154-176 (CM National)
Freshman Kevin McCarthy shot a 43 and J.P. Laird & sophomore
Trevor Hamlin added 44s. CAL & South Jersey champion Steve Ransom shot 37 for Lower, which is trying
to wrap up the conference title. The season ended for OCHS, which failed to have a winning record for the
1st time since 1992.
Monday, May 17th
Girls Track (8-1) defeated Millville, 81-59
Eights were wild in the regular season final as eight different Raiders
were winners, leading OC to its eighth straight win.
Lacrosse (7-10) defeated Lower Cape May, 9-4
Stacie McKinley & Kelsey Nickles each scored three goals.
Softball (7-12) lost to Absegami, 2-1
Colleen DeFoney had two singles for the Raiders. Sophomores Julie
Treen and Megan Hubbard each doubled.
Boys Track (3-6) lost to Millville, 75-65
Junior Mike Long won both the 800 & 1600 meters and junior Jim
Crowley took the javelin & long jump.
Baseball (10-6) vs Absegami - postponed
Saturday, May 15th
Baseball (10-6) defeated Buena, 4-1
Wes Yakopcic & sophomore Graham Ginn combined to pitch a
no-hitter. Junior Will Kleva had a double & single and Chugger LaCasse had two singles for the Raiders,
who overcame 4 errors.
Friday, May 14th
Boys Tennis (6-13) defeated Absegami, 3-2
The Raiders ended the season by snapping their 5-match losing
streak. Dan Murphy & Jaison Udani won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and the doubles team of Jim Dugan
& Chris Mullan also won.
Softball (7-11) lost to Mainland, 5-0
OC was limited to one hit by three Mustangs pitchers.
Thursday, May 13th
Girls Track (7-1) defeated Hammonton, 95-44
Sophomore Melissa Hunter was a double winner, finishing 1st in both
the 100 & 200 meters, as the Raiders won their 7th straight.
Softball (7-10) defeated Atlantic City, 5-1
Junior Julie D'Attilio had a double and 2 singles & Lauren Lythgoe
had 3 singles for the Raiders.
Boys Track (3-5) defeated Hammonton, 82-58
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo won the 100 & 200 meters and junior Jim
Crowley was 1st in the high jump & javelin as OC ended its 3-meet losing streak.
Baseball (9-6) lost to Atlantic City, 3-2
OC's 3-game winning streak came to an end when AC scored an
unearned run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Jose Estrada limited the Raiders to two hits.
Lacrosse (6-10) lost to Collingswood, 11-4
Shannon Netherby scored 2 goals and Kelsey Nickles added a goal
& 2 assists.
Boys Tennis (5-13) lost to Lower Cape May, 4-1
The Raiders came close with Dan Murphy winning at No. 2 singles
and both doubles teams losing three-set battles. The loss was OC's 5th straight.
Golf (10-8) at Cape-Atlantic Individual Championships
Freshman Kevin McCarthy finished 8th for the Raiders with a
6-over 76 at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield. Steve Ransom of Lower Cape May was the winner
with a 69.
Wednesday, May 12th
Lacrosse (6-9) defeated Pennsauken, 3-1
Gwen Hunter, Kaitlin Dougherty & sophomore Nikki Patrizzi each
scored in the first half to provide OCHS with all the offense it would need.
Girls Track (6-1) at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry won both the 1600 meters (5:08.1)
and the 3200 (11:26.4). Sophomore Renee Tomlin won the 800 (2:14.9).
Boys Track (2-5) at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Sophomore John Oberg took a second place in the pole vault by
clearing 13 feet. And junior Mike Long was third (4:29.7) in the 1600 meters.
Golf (10-9) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 165-166 (Green Tree)
Sophomore Trevor Hamlin shot 40 & J.P. Laird 41at Greate Bay.
Boys Tennis (5-12) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
The Raiders failed to win set, though junior Jaison Udani lost by a
6-3,6-4 score at No. 3 singles.
Tuesday, May 11th
Baseball (9-5) defeated Absegami, 9-4
Sophomore Mike Hinsley had a home run & double, driving home 3
runs. Chugger LaCasse was the winning pitcher, getting a pair of singles. The Raiders broke open a
close game with four runs in the top of the 7th.
Golf (10-8) lost to Oakcrest, 163-177
Sophomores Trevor Hamlin (43) & Rob Milburn (44) led the Raiders
at Greate Bay.
Softball (6-10) lost to Absegami, 9-5
Sophomore Julie Treen & junior Whitney Powell each had 2 hits for
OCHS.
Monday, May 10th
Girls Track (6-1) defeated Oakcrest, 81-59
Sophomore Melissa Hunter tripled, winning the 100 meters, 200 and
long jump. Leslie Robinson added wins in the shot put and discus.
Baseball (8-5) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 14-7
Wes Yakopcic was the man, smacking a home run and 2 singles
while earning his first pitching victory of the season. OCHS had two other extra base hits - Chugger
LaCasse blasted a home run and junior Will Kleva doubled.
Lacrosse (5-9) lost to Camden Catholic, 19-7
Shannon Netherby scored 4 goals for OC.
Boys Track (2-5) lost to Oakcrest, 112-28
With a couple of injuries hurting the lineup, OC only managed wins
by junior Mike Long in the 1600 & freshman John Fennekohl in the 3200. Wayne Davis & Rodney
Guishard each won three events for Oakcrest.
Boys Tennis (5-11) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Kelly Miller, Dan Murphy & Jaison Udani all won straight-set singles
matches.
Friday, May 7th
Baseball (7-4) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 11-5
Sophomore Mike Hinsley was 4-for-4 with a home run & a single.
Junior Doug Stranges drove home 3 runs with a triple and two singles. Chugger LaCasse added a home
run. Junior Will Kleva got the win, striking out 8 in six innings.
Golf (10-7) lost to Mainland, 154-166
J.P. Laird and Mike Mousaw each shot 40 at Greate Bay but it was
not enough for the Raiders.
Lacrosse (5-8) lost to Paul VI, 13-5
Caitlin Dougherty scored twice but OCHS suffered a loss that
mathematically eliminated it from qualifying for the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament.
Boys Tennis (4-11) lost to Mainland, 5-0
The Raiders failed to win a set against the No. 4 ranked Mustangs.
Thursday, May 6th
Girls Track (5-1) finished 1st in County Meet (Cape May Court House)
OC athletes set five meet records while winning the County Meet for
the 25th time in its 25-year history. Sophomore Brittany Sedberry set records in the 1600 & 3200 meters
that were held by OCHS grads Megan Hartman & Abbey Hartman. Sophomore Renee Tomlin broke
former Raider Lauren McHale's record in the 400 meters. Records for relatively new events in girls track
were also set by Kayla Ghanavati in the triple jump & Lindsay Zwiebel in the pole vault. Tomlin also won
the long jump, joining Sedberry, OC's Leslie Robinson (shot & discus) and sophomore Melissa Hunter
(100 & 200) as double winners.
Boys Track (2-4) finished 1st in County Meet (Cape May Court House)
A double win by junior Mike Long (800 & 1600 meters) sparked OC
to its fifth straight County Meet championship and 25th overall. The Raiders, who beat runner-up Middle
Township, 124-91, also got wins from junior Jim Crowley in the javelin and sophomore John Oberg in the
pole vault.
Golf (10-6) finished 10th in Carl Arena Tournament (Valleybrook)
J.P. Laird shot a 78 for 18 holes at Valleybrook, tying him for 10th.
He was placed 15th after a match of cards. Sophomore Rob Hamlin shot an 83, freshman Kevin McCarthy
an 85 and sophomore Jason Heckler an 87. The Raiders were third among CAL schools playing in the
prestigious event, which was won by Holy Spirit.
Baseball (6-5) lost to Hammonton, 10-4
Chugger LaCasse had a pair of doubles but OC fell behind, 7-1, and
couldn't catch up.
Softball (6-9) lost to Hammonton, 2-0
Jen Haas shut out the Raiders for the second time this year, this
time on two hits..
Boys Tennis (4-10) lost to Atlantic City, 5-0
Only the first doubles team of Jim Dugan & Chris Mullan managed
to win a set against the No. 7 ranked Vikings.
Wednesday, May 5th
Golf (10-6) defeated Hammonton, 163-174
J.P. Laird and freshman Mike Mousaw each shot a 40 for the win at
Pinelands.
Lacrosse (5-7) defeated Middle Township, 15-2
Gwen Hunter & Shannon Netherby each scored 3 goals. Kelsey
Nickles contributed 5 assists, increasing her career total to 27, one better the Maggie Long's old school
record.
Boys Tennis (4-9) defeated Hammonton, 4-1
Kelly Miller, Dan Murphy & Jaison Udani all won victories in singles,
Miller & Murphy in straight sets.
Softball (6-8) lost to Mainland, 11-1
Lauren Lythgoe drove home OC's only run with a triple in the 4th. The
loss eliminated the Raiders from possibly qualifying for the Group 3 Tournament. Laura O'Shea & Kate
Blose added singles.
Tuesday, May 4th
Girls Track (5-1) defeated Absegami, 103-36
Sophomore Melissa Hunter won three events (100, 200 & long jump.
Leslie Robinson won two, the discus & shot put.
Softball (6-7) defeated Lower Cape May, 3-2
The Raiders only managed three hits but two of them came to start
the seventh inning. Freshman Kimberly Krzyk led off with a triple and scored when senior Colleen DeFoney
drilled a single.
Baseball (6-4) lost to Lower Cape May, 9-5
After rallying to tie the game after a 4-0 first inning deficit, OC lost
when the Tigers scored five in the fourth. Chugger LaCasse had three singles. The Raiders committed six
errors.
Lacrosse (4-7) lost to Cherry Hill West, 10-4
OC fell behind, 6-1, in the first half. Caitlin Dougherty, Mary
Chirichella, Stacey McKinley & Shannon Netherby scored the goals.
Boys Track (2-4) lost to Absegami, 83-57
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo won the 100 and 200 meters for the Raiders.
Other first came from sophomore Matt Cowhey in the 800, junior Jim Crowley in the javelin and sophomore
John Oberg in the pole vault. Absegami swept the distance events, the hurdles and the jumps.
Boys Tennis (3-9) lost to Lower Cape May, 4-1
Once again, the only OC win came at first doubles where Jim Dugan
and Chris Mullan won in straight sets, though both sets went to the tiebreaker.

Sophomore Trevor Hamlin shot a 41 at Greate Bay with sophomore
Rob Milburn getting a 42.

The Novice Eight boat finished first with stroke Tom Frost, Robert
Agzigian, Tom Krzyk, Ryan Huck, Amadeo Miquelarena, Curtis Gaver, Brian Fitzgerald, Sean Costigan
and coxswain Gianni Tridente.
Girls Crew at City Championships, 9am (Philadelphia)
The Novice Four boat finished third, the Novice Eight boat was
fourth and the Junior Eight boat was fifth.
Saturday, May 1st
Lacrosse (4-6) defeated Winslow Township, 7-5
Kelsey Nickles scored four goals as OC took the lead in the first
half and hung on for the win.
Girls Track (4-1) at Ike Willis Open (Stockton)
The team of Allie Moreland, Erin Walsh, Renee Tomlin & Brittany
Sedberry set a meet record in the distance relay, winning in 12:07.09.
Boys Track (2-3) at South Jersey Relays (Buena)
The quartet of Brian Riordan, Mike Long, Matt Cowhey & John
Fennekohl won the 4x1600 meter relay in 18:56.57.
Friday, April 30th
Baseball (6-3) defeated Oakcrest, 4-3
Chugger LaCasse got the winning run home on a ground ball with the
bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th. Sophomore Mike Hinsley was the winning pitcher in relief.
Softball (5-7) defeated Oakcrest, 5-1
Sophomore Julie Treen & freshman Lauren Smith each had a pair of
singles and an RBI. Smith was the winning pitcher with a 4-hitter.
Lacrosse (3-6) defeated Lower Cape May, 10-6
Gwen Hunter & Kelsey Nickles each scored three times as the
Raiders pulled away in the second half, ending a 5-game losing streak.
Golf (8-6) lost to Atlantic City, 219-220 (Brigantine)
The Raiders were upset on the tiebreaker and failed to qualify for the
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament. Sophomore Rob Milburn shot a 42 at Brigantine with freshman Kevin
McCarthy adding a 43.
Girls Track (4-1) at Ike Willis Open (Stockton)
Sophomore Renee Tomlin won the 800 meters and sophomore
Brittany Sedberry was second in the 1600.
Boys Track (2-3) at South Jersey Invitational (Buena)
Sophomore John Oberg earned a medal for OC with a 5th place in the
pole vault.
Boys Tennis (3-8) at CAL Tournament
All Raiders lost in the first round, though the doubles team of Jim
Dugan & Chris Mullan lost in three tough sets.
Thursday, April 29th
Golf (8-5) defeated Hammonton, 164-186 (Greate Bay)
Freshman Kevin McCarthy continued to rebound from the ankle
injury that had limited him early. He shot a 39 at Greate Bay. Sophomores Trevor Hamlin & Jason Heckler
each shot 41.
Boys Tennis (3-8) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
Singles players Kelly Miller, Dan Murphy & Jaison Udani all won in
straight sets. The first doubles team of Jim Dugan & Chris Mullan won, keeping their hopes of
qualifying for the NJSIAA Doubles Tournament alive.
Baseball (5-3) lost to Hammonton, 1-0
Junior Will Kleva pitched another masterpiece only to lose on an
unearned run. He limited the Devils to one hit & struck out 9, also contributing a double to OC's 3-hit
attack. Greg Miller pitched the shutout for Hammonton.
Wednesday, April 28th
Girls Track (4-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 79-60
Sophomore Melissa Hunter won both the 100 & 200 meters to spark
the Raiders to their 4th straight win.
Baseball (5-2) defeated Cumberland, 13-5
The Raiders scored 10 times in the first inning and coasted to the
win. Junior Will Kleva had a pair of doubles. Andrew Bednarek got the win.
Golf (7-5) defeated Millville, 169-179
J.P. Laird led the Raiders with a 40 at Cohanzick. Sophomores
Trevor Hamlin & Jason Heckler chipped in with 42s.
Boys Track (2-3) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 74-66
Junior Mike Long won the 800 & 1600 meters with sophomore Pat
Tolomeo winning the 100 meters & triple jump. EHT won the meet by winning the final event, the 4x400
meter relay.
Lacrosse (2-6) lost to Shawnee, 18-1
Fran Scalfario scored the only goal for OC against the Renegades,
ranked No. 4 in South Jersey.
Boys Tennis (2-8) lost to Millville, 4-1

Sophomore Julie Treen had two doubles & scored the Raiders' only

Girls Track (3-1) at Penn Relays (Philadelphia)
The 4x800 meter relay team of Molly Minehan, Erin Walsh, Allie
Moreland & Renee Tomlin was the only New Jersey team to qualify for the Championship of America race.
They finished 12th.
Golf (6-4) defeated Vineland, 172-180
J.P. Laird paced the Raider win with a 40 at Greate Bay. Junior John
Moore shot 42.
Softball (4-6) lost to Highland, 8-0
The Raiders lost their 3rd straight and were shut out for the 2nd
straight time.
Boys Tennis (2-7) lost to Vineland, 5-0
Only the second doubles team of senior Dylan Kennard and
sophomore Colin Halliday managed to win a set against the No. 10 ranked Clan. The OCHS singles trio
lost by a combined 36-1.
Baseball (4-2) at Highland - postponed
Believe it or not, for the second straight day, a game was delayed
because the umpires were not there at game time. This time it started to rain before they arrived, nearly
an hour later, so the game was postponed.
Thursday, April 22nd
Girls Track (3-1) at Penn Relays
The 4x800 meter relay team of Molly Minehan, Erin Walsh, Allie
Moreland & Renee Tomlin qualified for tomorrow's Championship of America race. Sophomore Brittany
Sedberry finished fifth in the 3000 meters.
Golf (4-4) lost to Oakcrest, 157-170
Golf (5-4) defeated Hammonton, 170-199
J.P. Laird led OC to a split with a 37 at Blue Heron Pines. Trevor
Hamlin and John Moore each shot 43.
Softball (4-5) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 2-0
Jamie McComb pitched a two-hitter for EHT, striking out eight
Raiders.
Lacrosse (2-3) lost to Cherokee, 13-7
Kaitlyn Dougherty scored twice for the Raiders.
Boys Tennis (2-6) lost to Absegami, 4-1
A straight-set win by Jim Dugan & Chris Mullan at first doubles was
the Raiders only win. The loss mathematically eliminated the Raiders from qualifying for the NJSIAA

Greate Bay, ending the Raiders' three-match losing streak.
Boys Track (2-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 94-46
Sophomore Jason Dugan won three events - the 400 meter hurdles,
long jump and triple jump. Junior Jim Crowley won the 110 hurdles and javelin.
Boys Tennis (2-5) lost to Atlantic City, 4-1
The first doubles team of Jim Dugan and Chris Mullan earned OC's
only win. No. 1 singles player Chris Vivarelli had to default due to injury in the first set of his match.
Tuesday, April 20th
Baseball (4-2) defeated Oakcrest, 8-0
Junior Will Kleva got the win, pitching five shutout innings.
Softball (4-4) lost to Oakcrest, 9-5
The Falcons used a pair of four-run innings for the win. OC committed
five errors.
Golf (3-3) lost to Mainland, 170-177
J.P. Laird and Stephen Guy each shot 43s at Greate Bay, Laird's
round including a birdie. The Mustangs were ranked No. 2 in South Jersey.
Lacrosse (2-2) lost to Camden Catholic, 9-3
Boys Tennis (2-4) lost to Mainland, 5-0
Only the first doubles team of Jim Dugan and Chris Mullan managed
to win a set against the No. 3-ranked Mustangs.
Monday, April 19th
Girls Track (3-1) defeated Lower Cape May, 102-25
Five different Raiders won two events each. Melissa Hunter won the
100 & 200 meters. Renee Tomlin won the 400 & long jump. Kelly Heckler swept the hurdles events.
Rachel Hunter won the high jump & triple jump. And Leslie Robinson won the shot put & discus.
Baseball (3-2) defeated Atlantic City, 6-2
Andrew Bednarek was the winning pitcher, striking out 5 in his 5
innings. Atlantic City committed six errors in the game.
Softball (4-3) defeated Atlantic City, 3-2
Sophomore Julie Treen had two singles and scored the winning run in
the top of the seventh inning. Freshman Lauren Smith pitched a three-hitter and struck out eight. It was
OC's first three-game winning streak in 13 years.
Golf (3-2) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 166-172
J.P. Laird and sophomore Trevor Hamlin each shot 42s at Greate
Bay, Laird's round including a birdie.
Boys Tennis (2-3) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
Only junior Chris Vivarelli at No. 1 singles and Dan Murphy at No. 3
were able to win a set in the loss to undefeated EHT.
Saturday, April 17th
Cape May County Softball Tournament at Middle Township
Softball (2-3) defeated Lower Cape May, 10-0
Softball (3-3) defeated Middle Township, 2-0
Freshman Lauren Smith pitched a perfect game against Middle in
the championship game, retiring all 21 batters she faced with help from some solid defense.
Girls Track (2-1) at Woodbury Relays
The quartet of Molly Minehan, sophomore Erin Walsh, junior Allie
Moreland and sophomore Renee Tomlin won the agonizingly long 4x3200 meter relay. OC was second in
the team scoring in its division.
Boys Track (1-2) at Woodbury Relays
The Raiders finished 6th in the team scoring. The team of Jason
Dugan, Matt Cowhey, John Fennekohl and Mike Long was second in the distance medley.
Friday, April 16th
Boys Tennis (2-2) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Junior Chris Vivarelli won the No. 1 singles match in three sets with
junior Kelly Miller, Dan Murphy and both doubles teams winning in straight sets.
Baseball (2-2) lost to Mainland, 2-1
Junior Will Kleva pitched a two-hitter, had a pair of singles and
scored OC's lone run.
Crew at Holly City Regatta (Millville)
OCHS boats finished 1-2-3 in the Girls Demonstration Race with the
team of Sarah Dickey, Megan DiGiovanni, Arielle Zauck, Michelle Patroni, Jessica Jamison, Allison
Eiselen, Lauren Higbe, stroke Beth Migliaccio and coxswain Kelly Young.
Thursday, April 15th
Softball (1-3) lost to Hammonton, 5-0
Megan Showers tossed a one-hitter against the Raiders.

Girls Track (2-1) finished 6th in West Deptford Relays
Erin Walsh, Molly Minehan, Allie Moreland & Renee Tomlin won both
the 4x400 meter relay and the 4x800.
Boys Track (1-2) finished 7th in Bridgeton Relays
The foursome of John Fennekohl, Matt Cowhey, Brian Riordan &
Mike Long won 4x800 meter relay. Fennekohl, Cowhey, Long & Jason Dugan won the distance medley
relay.
Thursday, April 8th
Baseball (2-1) defeated Millville, 8-4
Sophomore Mike Hinsley smashed a home run & a single while
junior Will Kleva had two doubles & two singles. Sophomore Graham Ginn was the winning pitcher.
Girls Track (2-1) defeated Atlantic City, 82-40
Melissa Hunter swept the 100 & 200 meters, Renee Tomlin won the
400 & long jump and Allie Moreland won the 800 & 1600.
Boys Track (1-2) defeated Atlantic City, 79-52
Junior Jim Crowley & sophomore Pat Tolomeo both doubled for the
Raiders. Crowley won the long jump and the 110 hurdles while also finishing second in the javelin.
Tolomeo won the 100 & 400 meters. Other winners were sophomore Matt Cowhey in the 800, junior Mike
Long in the 1600, Brian Roirdan in the 3200 and sophomore Jason Dugan in the 400 hurdles. OC won the
4x400 relay with Cowhey, Long and freshmen Randy Kohr and Chris Howells.
Golf (3-1) lost to Absegami, 168-171
Freshman Mike Mousaw had a 40 at Seaview's pines course, the low
score by a Raider.
Softball (1-2) lost to Millville, 10-0
The Raiders were limited to 2 hits by Shana Puff.

Wednesday, April 7th
Golf (3-0) defeated Millville, 170-205 (Greate Bay)
Sophomore Trevor Hamlin shot a 42 at Greate Bay to lead the
Raiders to their third straight win.
Lacrosse (2-1) defeated Middle Township, 12-0
Caitlin Dougherty led OCHS with four goals and one assist. Brittany
Bryan fashioned the shutout.
Softball (1-1) lost to Vineland, 10-1
Pitcher Lauren Smith got a pair of singles for the Raiders, who
committed five errors behind her.
Boys Tennis (1-2) lost to Millville, 3-2
Kelly Miller won a close match at No. 1 singles and the first doubles
team of Jim Dugan & Chris Mullan won in straight sets. A tight second doubles match decided things
with the Raiders losing the third set, 7-5.
Baseball (1-1) lost to Vineland, 10-1
The Raiders fell behind, 10-0, but broke up the shutoout in their
final at bat.
Tuesday, April 6th
Golf (2-0) defeated Middle Township, 182-198
J.P. Laird shot a 40 at Avalon to pace the Raiders to the
non-conference victory.
Baseball (1-0) defeated Lower Cape May, 9-5
Chugger LaCasse smacked a two-run home run and two singles,
George Coccodrilli had two triples and two singles, and sophomore Mike Hinsley drove home three runs
with four singles. Junior Will Kleva was the winning pitcher.
Softball (1-0) defeated Lower Cape May, 9-8
Junior Laura O'Shea blasted a walk-off, two-run triple in the bottom of
the seventh inning to provide the comeback victory. The Raiders once led, 7-3, in the game but fell behind,
8-7, going into their final at bat. Julie Treen added a double, a single and two runs. Lauren Smith was the
winning pitcher.
Boys Tennis (1-1) defeated Middle Township, 4-1
Kelly Miller & Dan Murphy were both straight-set winners at No. 2
and No. 3 singles. Both OCHS doubles teams also won in straight sets.
Girls Track (1-1) defeated Vineland, 77-59
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry won the 1600 & 3200 meters, Kelly
Heckler swept the two hurdles events, Leslie Robinson won the shot put & discus and sophomore Renee
Tomlin took the 400, the long jump and anchored the winning 4x400 relay.
Boys Track (0-2) lost to Vineland, 83-57
The Raiders got first place finishes from sophomore Pat Tolomeo
(200 meters), junior Mike Long (1600), junior Paul Boardman (3200), junior Brandon Brady (shot put) and
sophomore John Oberg (pole vault).

Sunday, April 4th
Crew at Flick-Horvat Series Regatta, Philadelphia
The Freshmen 8 won its heat, the first crew win in OCHS history. The
boat included Marilee Sobrinski, Samantha Steindl, Danielle Landi, Colleen Smith, Dana Eislen, Danielle
Brady, Carly Stranges, Kerry Fahy and Ali Young.
Saturday, April 3rd
Boys Track (0-1) finished 5th in Buena Relays
The OC quartet of John Fennekohl, Matt Cowhey, Brian Riordan &
Mike Long won both the 4x1600 & 4x800 meter relays.
Girls Track (0-1) finished 2nd in Buena Relays
Molly Minehan and Allie Moreland were triple winners. Minehan was
on the victorious 4x400 meter, 4x800 and 2x400 hurdle relays. Moreland ran on winning relay teams in the
4x400, 4x800 & 4x1600 meter relays.

Sophomore Trevor Hamlin & freshman Mike Mousaw each shot 42 at
Buena Vista to lead the Raiders to the win.
Lacrosse (1-0) defeated Paul VI, 12-10
Caitlin Dougherty, Shannon Netherby and Stacie McKinley each
scored three goals for OCHS.
Boys Tennis (0-1) lost to Vineland, 5-0
OC failed to win a set against the No. 10 ranked Clan.
Boys Track (0-1) lost to Mainland, 109-31
Dan Jones won the high jump (5-6), Brandon Brady won the javelin
(145-2) & Jason Dugan won the triple jump (36-2) for the Raiders.
Girls Track (0-1) lost to Mainland, 72-68
Rachael Hunter won three events, taking the 100 meters, 200 and
triple jump. Her 31-4 distance in the triple jump was a school record in the relatively new event. Leslie
Robinson doubled by winning the shot put and discus. Other OC winners were Allie Moreland in the 800,
Brittany Sedberry in the 1600 & Elizabeth Richardson in the 3200.
