Friday, May 31st
Boys Track (7-3) in NJSIAA State Group 3 Meet (EHT) 3pm
John Richardson finished 3rd in the 3200 meters and qualified for Wednesday's NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
Saturday, May 25th
Boys Track (7-3) at NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 Meet
John Richardson turned in his entry card for the 1600 but could not compete because of weakness related to his dehydration and hospitalization of Friday night. He also did not enter the 800 meters. Erik Geisinger (1600) and Dan Tamburini (pole vault) both finished 3rd and advanced to the state meet in those events.

Girls Track (6-4) at NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 Meet
There were no additional medal winners during the 2nd day of the meet.
Friday, May 24th
Baseball (11-10) lost to Williamstown, 2-0 [GROUP 3]
Mike Baker suffered a tough loss, pitching a 3-hitter with one of those hits a 2-run home run in the 4th inning. The Raiders managed just 2 hits, by Chugger LaCasse and Brian Tyszka.

Boys Track (7-3) at NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 Meet
John Richardson set a school record in the 3200 meters, breaking the 26-year old mark by 6 seconds while finishing 2nd to Greg Hughes of Mainland in Group 3. Richardson collapsed at the finish line and was later hospitalized for dehydration. Also winning medals were Erik Geisinger (3200) and Ryan Driscoll (discus).

Girls Track (6-4) at NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 Meet
Allie Moreland was 4th in the 3200 and Leslie Robinson 6th in the shot put. Both earned medals and qualified for next weekend's state meet at EHT.
Wednesday, May 22nd
Golf (15-8) defeated Atlantic City, 175-181, & defeated Hammonton, 175-176
J.P. Laird shot a 40 at Greate Bay as the Raiders finished with 2 wins.

Softball (7-12) defeated Lower Cape May, 3-2
Devon McKeefrey drove home the winning run, Colleen DeFoney pitched a 3-hitter.
Tuesday, May 21st
Golf (13-8) lost to Vineland, 169-170, & lost to Bishop Eustace, 159-170
Erik Mateer shot at 39 at Greate Bay but Raiders dropped 6 strokes on final hole.
Monday, May 20th
Baseball (11-9) lost to Sacred Heart, 5-1
Mike Baker's RBI double gave OC 1-0 lead until 7th inning when Hearts scored 5 times.

Lacrosse (5-11-1) lost to Camden Catholic, 18-7
Maggie Long had 4 goals for the Raiders.

Boys Tennis (13-9) lost to Mainland, 4-1
Mike O'Neill & Walter Murphy got the only win at first doubles - Raiders only division losses were to champion Mustangs.

Girls Track (6-4) defeated Lower Cape May, 88-34
Kelly Heckler swept the hurdles, Leslie Robinson won both shot put & discus.

Boys Track (7-3) defeated Lower Cape May, 82-48
Jim Dugan won 800 meters, 400 hurdles & ran 2nd leg for victorious relay team.
Friday, May 17th
Baseball (11-8) at Atlantic City - cancelled

Lacrosse (5-10-1) lost to Holy Cross, 15-6
Julie Southard scored 4 goals for the Raiders.

Softball (6-12) defeated Atlantic City, 5-2
Kim Treen had 3 hits & 2 RBIs, Colleen DeFoney pitched a 6-hitter - OC's first 3-game winning streak since 1993.

Boys Tennis (13-8) lost to Atlantic City, 5-0
Three of the five matches went the maximum of three sets.

Boys Track (6-3) at CAL Meet
John Richardson ran 1:52.7 in 800 meters to break school record held by Scott Lipford - finished 2nd to Vineland's Shannon Sherrer (1:52.4). Erik Geisinger won the 3200.

Girls Track (5-4) at CAL Meet
Freshman Allie Moreland won the 3200 meters.
Thursday, May 16th
Golf (13-6) lost to Holy Spirit, 159-174
Jake Hansen shot a 41 for the Raiders at Mays Landing.

Boys Tennis (13-7) defeated Holy Spirit, 4-1
Senior Mike O’Neill and junior Matt Piechoski have now won 9 of last 10 matches at first doubles.
Wednesday, May 15th
Baseball (11-8) lost to Absegami, 8-0
Chugger LaCasse's double was the only hit off Gami sophomore Joe Barrett.

Golf (12-5) vs Absegami - postponed

Softball (5-12) defeated Absegami, 6-4
Deven McKeefrey had 3 hits & 3 RBIs, Nikki Hinsley had 2 hits & Colleen DeFoney got the win.

Boys Tennis (12-6) lost to Lacey, 5-0 [GROUP 3]
Second doubles team (Walter Murphy-Joe Rowell) battled three sets before losing - this was OC's first NJSIAA match since 1996.

Monday, May 13th
Baseball (11-7) lost to Mainland, 8-6
Mike Baker had a double for the Raiders, who led by a 6-3 score before Wayne Winn hit a grand slam for Mainland in the bottom of the 6th.

Golf (12-5) finished 3rd in South Jersey Group 3 Meet
Erik Mateer shot 82 & J.P. Laird 83 for Raiders at Sand Barrens.

Lacrosse (5-9-1) defeated Winslow Township, 8-7
Julie Southard scored the game-winner in the final 3 minutes.

Softball (3-12) defeated Mainland, 4-0
Colleen DeFoney shut out the Mustangs on four hits - both DeFoney and Kim Treen had a hit and scored a run.

Boys Track (6-3) lost to Absegami, 67-62
John Richardson remains undefeated in 1600 and also wins the 800. OC relay team still undefeated.

Girls Track (5-4) lost to Absegami, 63-59
Laura Ulmer tripled for OC and Molly Minehan (800) and Allie Moreland (3200) remained undefeated. Kristy Costa tripled for Absegami.
Saturday, May 11th
Boys Tennis (12-5) defeated Woodbury, 5-0
Raiders won 8th straight match with five straight-set wins in what could have been final high school match ever on 6th Street courts. NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament action begins Monday for the Raiders with a trip to Lacey - the winner faces Mainland-Williamstown winner on Thursday.
Friday, May 10th
Baseball (11-6) defeated Middle Township, 4-3
Ron Kelly got the win as OC rallied from a 3-1 deficit. Raiders should open NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament with a home game, possibly a rematch against Highland.

Golf (12-5) defeated Buena (180-197), lost to Oakcrest (176-180), lost to Mainland (152-180)
J.P. Laird shot a 43 for the Raiders in the quad-match at Greate Bay.

Lacrosse (4-9-1) defeated Northern Burlington, 12-5
Maggie Long scored 3 times for the Raiders.

Softball (2-12) lost to Holy Spirit, 3-2
Sophomore pitcher Colleen DeFoney suffered another tough loss in the final at bat.

Boys Track (6-2) won championship at Cape May County Meet
John Richardson set meet record in 1600 meters, Dan Tamburini in pole vault. OC won 3rd straight county title, 23rd overall.

Girls Track (5-3) won championship at Cape May County Meet
Molly Linehan (800 meters), Brittany Downham (1600) & Allie Moreland (3200) all won to spark Raiders to 23rd straight county title.

Mike Mayne collected two of OC's three hits off Buena's Kevin Gunter.

Maggie Long scored OC's two goals.

Colleen DeFoney's 5-hitter wasn't enough as Buena's Jenna Berenato pitched a 2-hitter and struck out 16. Nicole Dattilo's double was the only OC extra base hit.

Walter Murphy's 13th overall win sparked OC to 7th straight victory.

Maggie Long scored 8 goals and Lyndsey Arnold 6 for Raiders.

WP Kevin Kilroy pitched 5 shutout innings - Dan McLaughlin, who hit a HR, pitched the final 2. Joe Hinsley and Chugger LaCasse each had single & double.

Golf (11-3) defeated Middle Township, 155-175
Erik Mateer shot a 35 at Greate Bay, getting two birdies plus an eagle on the first hole, chipping home from 120 yards. OC's 10th straight win - haven't won 11 straight since 1982.

Lacrosse (2-8-1) lost to Delran, 15-7
Julie Southard scored 4 times, bringing her career total to 101.

Softball (2-9) lost to Middle Township, 4-2
Raiders came close to 2nd straight win - led by 2-1 score entering 6th inning.
