Vinnie Djukanovic raced 42 yards for a first half TD and Matt Graham scored
twice in the second half for the win. Djukanovic finished with 147 yards rushing.
Saturday, November 17th
Boys CC (9-0) at NJSIAA Meet of Champions (Holmdel)
Junior Brett Johnson finished 5th, just three seconds away from third - the
best finish ever by an OCHS runner in the boys meet. It marked the second straight year the
Raiders have placed a runner in the top 10. John Fennekohl was eighth last year. Ryan
Birchmeier took 25th in his final high school race.

Friday, November 16th
NJSIAA State Group 3 Championship at TCNJ:
Boys Soccer (23-1-1) lost to Ramapo, 1-0
Ramapo's Rob Santiniello blasted home a goal from 35 yards with about seven
minutes left. It was the only shot on goal by either team in the second half, deciding a great
defensive battle.
Tuesday, November 13th
NJSIAA State Group 3 Semifinal Game at Toms River East:
Boys Soccer (23-0-1) defeated West Windsor North, 1-1 (Penalty Kicks)
Caleb Garza broke a 3-3 tie in the penalty kick tiebreaker, giving OCHS a spot in the
state final for the fifth time in nine years. Kevin Curran scored the only Raider goal in regulation.
John Fogarty made a diving save to start the tiebreaker and give OC an edge. Ocean City will face
Ramapo Friday night at The College of New Jersey.
Saturday, November 10th
Boys CC (9-0) finished 6th at NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
Junior Brett Johnson won the individual state Group 3 championship,
finishing less than three seconds ahead of teammate Ryan Birchmeier, who was second. Johnson
becomes Ocean City's 1st state champion in boys cross country.
Girls CC (8-1) finished 17th at NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
Anna Ceniccola was the first Raider to finish, coming home 48th
overall.
Friday, November 9th
Football (2-7) lost to Clearview, 28-0 (NJSIAA consolation game)
OCHS played without seven starters who were given one-game suspensions
for violating team rules. In addition, starters Mike Coletta and Dan Neat missed the game
with injuries. Justin Betterson scored four times for Clearview.
South Jersey Group 3 Soccer Championship Game:
Boys Soccer (22-0-1) defeated Kingsway, 5-1
John Granese scored four goals as the Raiders won their fourth South Jersey
title in the last five years and their seventh in Mike Pellegrino's 11 years as head coach.
Caleb Garza scored the other OCHS goal. The Raiders will play upset-happy West Windsor North
on Tuesday at Toms River North.
Tuesday, November 6th
NJSIAA Group 3 Soccer Tournament:
Boys Soccer (21-0-1) defeated West Deptford, 2-0
Neal Corchianni assisted on John Granese's goal then scored the second one
himself. John Fogarty registered his 13th shutout of the season. OCHS will meet Kingsway
in the South Jersey final.
Field Hockey (18-3-1) defeated Millville, 3-1
Seniors Katie Corson, Erin Thomas and Nancy White scored as OCHS clinched its
11th straight conference title.
Monday, November 5th
NJSIAA Group 3 Soccer Tournament:
Girls Soccer (11-5-2) lost to Clearview, 1-0
The Pioneers scored in the first 10 minutes of the game and then shut
out the Raiders for just the 3rd time this year.
Saturday, November 3rd
Boys CC (9-0) finished 1st in South Jersey Group 3 Meet (Delsea)
Brett Johnson was the individual champion, beating teammate Ryan Birchmeier, who was
second, by five seconds. Johnson, who finished second last year to OC's John Fennekohl, is the
4th Raider to win South Jersey in seven years. John Richardson won back-to-back titles in 2001-02.
The team championship was the 2nd in Ocean City history. The other was in 2004.
Girls CC (8-1) finished 5th in South Jersey Group 3 Meet (Delsea)
The Raiders qualified for the NJSIAA state meet for the 26th straight year. Freshman
Ashleigh Dinan finished 12th and junior Anna Ceniccola was 14th.
Friday, November 2nd
NJSIAA Group 3 Soccer Tournament:
Boys Soccer (20-0-1) defeated Clearview, 5-2
Neal Melchionni scored twice for OCHS, which advanced to play West Deptford in the
second round. Keeper John Fogarty had his five-game shutout streak ended.
Thursday, November 1st
NJSIAA Group 3 Soccer Tournament:
Girls Soccer (11-4-2) defeated Delsea, 1-0
Kaitlyn Harney scored the only goal with about 10 minutes left. The Raiders now
host Clearview, which upset West Deptford.
NJSIAA Group 3 Field Hockey Tournament:
Field Hockey (17-3-1) lost to Shawnee, 4-1
Nancy White scored the only goal for OC. All scoring was in the first half.
Wednesday, October 31st
Girls Tennis (14-7) lost to Millville, 5-0
The No. 3 singles match and both doubles matches went three sets and the Raiders
lost all three. It was the first conference loss by the first doubles team of Kim Baker and Carrie
Jaquett. Millville had clinched the conference championship the day before.
Tuesday, October 30th
Field Hockey (17-2-1) defeated Hammonton, 6-1
Katie Corson had the three-goal hat trick and Nancy White scored twice.
Monday, October 29th
NJSIAA Group 3 Field Hockey Tournament:
Field Hockey (16-2-1) defeated Lacey, 7-0
Katie Corson and Nancy White scored twice as the Raiders advanced to the
semifinals against Shawnee.
Girls Tennis (14-6) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
All five matches were decided with Hammonton winning just six games.
Sunday, October 28th
Football (2-6) lost to Atlantic City, 28-8
Vinnie Djukanovic passed to Tim Nickas for the only TD in the final minute of
the game. Sophomore QB Chris Curran was injured in the third period and did not return.
South Jersey Coaches Soccer Tournament Championship at Eastern:
Boys Soccer (19-0-1) defeated Washington Township, 1-0 2OT
Cody Letsinger scored with 2:30 left in the second overtime and John Fogarty had
his fourth 1-0 victory in the tournament. It was the second time in three years the Raiders won
the tournament.

Thursday, October 25th
Boys CC (9-0) finished 2nd in CAL Meet (Richard Stockton)
Ryan Birchmeier won the individual championship, finishing 14 seconds ahead of
teammate Brett Johnson, who was second. But Mainland runners finished in three of the next five
positions and the Mustangs went on to edge the Raiders, 42-45, to win the team title.
Girls CC (8-1) finished 2nd in CAL Meet (Richard Stockton)
Millville won the team title, 57-123, but Anna Ceniccola was 14th for
OCHS, followed by Kelsey Greene (19th) and Ashleigh Dinan (20th).

Boys Soccer (18-0-1) defeated Hammonton, 2-0
Cody Letsinger and Neal Melchionni scored as Raiders finished conference season
with a 66-game unbeaten streak in conference games.
Girls Soccer (10-4-2) tied Hammonton, 0-0 2OT
Keeley Peltz notched the shutout with 22 saves.
Girls Tennis (13-6) lost to Mainland, 3-2
Both OCHS doubles teams, Kim Baker-Carrie Jaquett & Megan Haas-Kylie Haymaker,
won in straight sets and Emily Kornberg almost pulled out the match with a tough, three-set
loss at No. 3 singles.

South Jersey Coaches Soccer Tournament:
Boys Soccer (17-0-1) defeated Cinnaminson, 1-0
Neal Melchionni's early goal held up and the Raiders advanced to the
Coaches Tournament final for the third time. They won the title in 2005.

Boys Soccer (16-0-1) defeated Haddon Heights, 1-0 2OT
John Granese scored the lone goal in the second overtime.

Football (2-5) lost to Absegami, 24-8
Vinnie Djukanovic scored the only OCHS TD when he ran 73 yards with
a fumble.

Boys CC (9-0) finished 1st in County Meet (CM Court House)
Brett Johnson won the individual championship, sweeping across the finish line
two strides ahead of Ryan Birchmeier. It was the 8th straight county team title for OCHS and the
28th overall.
Girls CC (8-1) finished 1st in County Meet (CM Court House)
Anna Ceniccola and Kelsey Greene finished three-four as the Raiders reclaimed
the County title from Wildwood Catholic, winning it for the 22nd time in 23 years.
Wednesday, October 17th
Girls Soccer (10-4-1) defeated Oakcrest, 4-0
Liz Ker had two goals and two assists for OCHS.
Boys Soccer (15-0-1) defeated Oakcrest, 4-0
The Raiders clinched their 5th straight conference title and their 8th in
Mike Pellegrino's 11 years. Brandon Klein and Caleb Garza scored in the first half.
Field Hockey (15-2-1) defeated Vineland, 9-0
Colleen Slaughter scored the hat trick and Alex Barbieri scored twice.
Girls Tennis (13-5) defeated Vineland, 5-0
Jackie Crossman and Emma Kelsey won the top singles matches in straight sets.

Carly DiGiovanni scored twice for the Raiders.

Emma Kelsey and Emily Kornberg won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.

Girls Soccer (8-4-1) defeated Cherry Hill East, 2-0
Cat Dierolf and Liz Ker scored as the Raiders officially clinched a
spot in the NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament.
Boys CC (9-0) finished 1st at South Jersey Open (Delsea)
The Raiders won in Division 3 with Brett Johnson finishing 5th, Ryan
Birchmeier 14th and Steve Hoffman 19th.

Anna Ceniccola was 35th and Kelsey Greene 40th.

Football (2-4) defeated Millville, 21-7
Sophomore Chris Curran got the start at QB and threw 2 first quarter
TDs to Chris Harris. Vinnie Djukanovic, playing tailback, ran 50 yards for OC's
other touchdown. At halftime, Kelly Dilks was named Homecoming Queen.
South Jersey Coaches Soccer Tournament:
Boys Soccer (13-0-1) defeated Glassboro, 1-0
Kevin Curran scored the only goal in the second half and John Fogarty
kept the Bulldogs out of his goal.
Field Hockey (13-2-1) lost to Cherokee, 2-0
After a scoreless first half, Cherokee scored twice for the win.
Girls Tennis (10-5) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Jackie Crossman's 6-0,6-2 win at No. 1 singles led the way to five
straight-set wins.

Danielle McNally scored twice, Colleen Slaughter and Nancy White once.

Boys CC (9-0) defeated Millville, 15-47
Mike Hagan, Brett Johnson, Ryan Birchmeier, Steve Hoffman and Connor Martin
finished 1 through 5 as the Raiders completed an undefeated dual season.
Boys Soccer (12-0-1) tied Rancocas Valley, 1-1 2OT
Clayton Harper scored a head shot in the final five minutes of regulation
to create the tie.
Girls CC (8-1) lost to Millville, 19-36
Millville runners finished 1st-2nd-3rd-4th, clinching the victory. Anna Ceniccola
was 5th for OCHS, which also took 6th-7th-8th.
Girls Tennis (9-5) defeated Pleasantville, 5-0
All five matches were by 6-0,6-0 scores.
Tuesday, October 9th
Boys Soccer (12-0) defeated Mainland, 1-0
Mike Pellegrino's 200th career win came when Kevin Curran scored just
eight minutes into the game and the Raiders held on for the shutout behind goalkeeper
John Fogarty.
Field Hockey (12-1-1) defeated Mainland, 5-0
Danielle McNally scored twice as Raiders maintained their share of first
place in the conference. After the game there was a retirement celebration for assistant
coack Kristie Fenton.
Girls Soccer (7-4-1) lost to Mainland, 1-0
The Mustangs held on to first place in the American Conference.

The Braves, ranked No. 15 in South Jersey, ended OC's 4-game win streak.

Football (1-4) lost to Mainland, 30-0
A pair of impressive goal-line stands were the big moments for OCHS. The
Raiders could manage just 4 first downs and 44 total yards against the tough Mustangs defense.
Field Hockey (11-1-1) tied Egg Harbor Township, 1-1
Colleen Slaughter scored for OCHS in this battle for 1st place.
Girls Tennis (8-4) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 3-2
Emily Kornberg won in straight sets at No. 3 singles and both OCHS doubles teams
won, also in straight sets, as the Raiders reversed an earlier 3-2 loss to EHT.
Thursday, October 4th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Girls Tennis (7-4) defeated Barnegat, 5-0
Visiting Barnegat managed to win only six games as OCHS won five
straight-set victories. The Raiders will now play Seneca, the defending South
Jersey champion, which defeated West Deptford, 5-0.
Wednesday, October 3rd
Boys Soccer (11-0) defeated Hammonton, 4-1
Neal Melchionni's 2 first-half goals were enough.
Field Hockey (11-1) defeated Atlantic City, 8-2
Katie Corson, Nancy White and Laura Price each scored twice.
Girls Soccer (7-2-1) defeated Hammonton, 2-1
Tara Mousaw and Christina Hankin scored for a 2-0 Raider lead at the half.
Tuesday, October 2nd
Boys CC (7-0) defeated Hammonton, 17-42
Boys CC (8-0) defeated Absegami, 16-45
The Raiders clinched their 2nd American Conference championship in
three years as Connor Martin, Brett Johnson, Ryan Birchmeier and Steve Hoffman were
the first four to finish.
Girls CC (7-0) defeated Hammonton, 17-42
Girls CC (8-0) defeated Absegami, 22-33
The Raider pack earned the wins as Kelsey Greene, Anna Ceniccola
and Ashleigh Dinan were 2-3-4 and Hillary Morris and Shannon Greene finished 7-8.
Girls Tennis (6-4) lost to Atlantic City, 3-2
The OCHS doubles teams were both winners but the Vikings won all
three singles matches to reverse a win by the Raiders earlier this season.

Kevin Curran and John Granese scored and John Fogarty got his 3rd straight shutout.
