Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships
Brittany Sedberry finished 37th among the finest runners in the
country during this meet in San Diego. She was the only contestant from New Jersey.
Saturday, November 27th
Foot Locker Northeast Cross Country Championships
Brittany Sedberry finished 10th in this battle between many of the
top high school runners in the Northeast. She needed to be among the top eight to automatically advance
to the National Finals in San Diego. But she later qualified, based on time, as a wild card entry.
Thursday, November 25th
Football (4-6) defeated Pleasantville, 21-6
Jordan Torroni threw for 103 yards & a TD but also had 4 touchdown
passes called back by penalties. Mike Tyrrell scored his only career TD with 26 seconds left to seal the
victory.
Saturday, November 20th
Girls CC (10-0) at NJSIAA Meet of Champions (Holmdel)
Junior Brittany Sedberry successfully defended her title as best
distance runner in the state, winning by 10 seconds. Her time (18:12) was more than 10 seconds faster
than she had ever run at Holmdel Park, the fastest ever by a South Jersey girl and the 5th fastest in state
history.
Boys CC (8-1) finished 9th in NJSIAA Meet of Champions (Holmdel)
Sophomore John Fennekohl finished 27th, Paul Boardman was 69th
& Mike Long 71st for the OCHS South Jersey champions.
Monday, November 15th
NJSIAA State Group 3 Semifinal:
Boys Soccer (21-2-1) lost to Wall, 1-1 OT/PK (at Neptune)
Will Kleva scored the tying goal in the 2nd half and the game was
decided by a shootout after two overtimes failed to produce a winner. Wall won the shootout, 9-8.
Saturday, November 13th
Girls CC (10-0) finished 4th at NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
Junior Brittany Sedberry won her 2nd straight state championship
(she finished 4th as a freshman) and advanced to the Meet of Champions. The team finish did not qualify
them for the MOC. Sedberry won the race by more than 30 seconds and was 18 seconds faster than her
winning time of last year. In fact, her time (18:25.46) was the 2nd fastest time ever run by a girl on the
Holmdel course, just 29/100ths of a second below the fastest. Allie Moreland finished 29th, Erin Walsh
30th, Kristen Cenicola was 85th & Kaitlyn Minehan 101st.
Boys CC (8-1) finished 2nd at NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
The Raiders advanced to the Meet of Champions for the 2nd time in
three years, finishing behind Morris Hills. Paul Boardman was 13th, John Fennekohl 15th, Mike Long 21st,
Matt Cowhey 28th & William Pestalozzi finished 56th.
South Jersey Group 3 Final:
Field Hockey (19-2-2) lost to Kingsway, 1-0
Kingsway scored in the second half to earn its 2nd straight South
Jersey title by identical 1-0 scores over the Raiders.
Friday, November 12th
South Jersey Group 3 Final:
Boys Soccer (21-1-1) defeated Delsea, 3-1
Rich Baker scored twice, Kyle Evans once. Raiders win 5th South
Jersey title in six years.
Football (3-6) lost to Toms River South, 14-8
OC turned the ball over 4 yimes in this NJSIAA consolation game
played in a steady rain and strong wind at Carey Stadium. A.J. Harris scored the only TD on a 1-yard run,
following a recovered fumble by Dan Jones.

South Jersey Group 3 Final:
Girls Soccer (19-3-2) lost to Moorestown, 1-0
Wednesday, November 10th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Field Hockey (19-1-2) defeated Clearview, 1-0
Melissa Hunter scored with an assist from Casey Beyel in the final
12 minutes of the game to send OCHS to the South Jersey final for the 8th straight year.
Tuesday, November 9th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Boys Soccer (20-1-1) defeated Kingsway, 1-0 OT
Rich Baker scored less than two minutes into overtime to earn the
win and advance OC to the South Jersey final.
Monday, November 8th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Girls Soccer (19-2-2) defeated Deptford, 4-0
Casey Harper's goal broke a 1-1 tie and propelled the Raiders into
the South Jersey championship game. Lauren Nicholl scored the tying goal.
Sunday, November 7th
CAL Playoff:
Boys Soccer (19-1-1) tied St. Augustine Prep, 1-1 2OT
Rich Baker scored to tie the score but neither team scored in
overtime so the two teams for the overall CAL championship a second straight year.
Saturday, November 6th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Field Hockey (18-1-2) defeated Central, 5-0
Krista Bordogna & Melissa Hunter each scored twice for the Raiders.
Friday, November 5th
Football (3-5) defeated Oakcrest, 46-18
Jim Crowley scored twice, once on a 90-yard kickoff return, and
George Coccodrilli added a pair of rushing TDs. Sophomore A.J. Harris rushed for 141 yards and a TD. It
was OC's first home win in more than two years.
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Boys Soccer (19-1) defeated Pinelands, 4-0
Mike Mousaw scored twice as the Raiders opened defense of their
state championship with a win.
Thursday, November 4th
NJSIAA Group 3 Tournament:
Girls Soccer (18-2-2) defeated Deptford, 4-0
Four different players scored for the Raiders and Jordan Webster
stopped 6 shots for the shutout.

Field Hockey (17-1-2) vs Central - POSTPONED
Tuesday, November 2nd
CAL Playoff:
Field Hockey (17-1-2) defeated Hammonton, 2-1
Casey Beyel scored the game-winner in the final 8 minutes. Kimmie
Krzyk scored in the 1st half to give OC a 1-0 lead. The win was the 7th overall CAL title for the Raiders.
CAL Playoff:
Girls Soccer (17-2-2) lost to Holy Spirit, 4-1
Katie Ruiz scored for OC but Spirit had already opened a 4-0 lead.
The win gave Spirit its 1st overall CAL title after losing in the championship game 3 straight years.
Saturday, October 30th
Girls CC (10-0) finished 1st in SJ Group 3 Meet (Delsea)
Junior Brittany Sedberry won the individual South Jersey title for
the 3rd straight year. The OCHS girls won the team title for the 2nd straight year & 7th time overall.
Elizabeth Richardson was 9th & Allie Moreland 10th.
Boys CC (8-1) finished 1st in SJ Group 3 Meet (Delsea)
The Raider boys won the South Jersey team title for the first time in
school history. Paul Boardman finished 2nd, Jon Fennekohl 5th, Mike Long 7th and Matt Cowhey 10th.
Friday, October 29th
Football (2-5) lost to Absegami, 31-8
A.J. Harris raced 80 yards for OC's only score. The win was the 6th
straight by Gami, coached by former OCHS star Doug Colman. Omar Vidro opened the game with a
94-yard kickoff return.
Boys Soccer (18-1) defeated Bishop Eustace, 3-1
Will Kleva, Rafael Duarte & Kyle Evans scored. Rich Baker had 2
assists.
Girls Soccer (17-1-2) defeated Seneca, 2-0
Casey Curran & Lauren Nicholl scored for OC.
Field Hockey (16-1-2) tied Shawnee, 1-1
Melissa Hunter got the only goal.
Wednesday, October 27th
Boys Soccer (17-1) defeated Oakcrest, 4-1
Pat Tolomeo had the three-goal hat trick.
Field Hockey (16-1-1) defeated Millville, 2-1
Melissa Hunter and Krista Bordogna scored in the second half as OC
rallied to clinch the American Conference championship.
Girls Soccer (16-1-2) defeated Oakcrest, 2-1
Kayla Ghanavati scored twice in the second half to bring the Raiders
from behind.
Girls Tennis (4-11) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 3-2
OC won both doubles matches in straight sets but could not win a
set in the three singles matches..
Monday, October 25th
CAL Runoff:
Girls CC (10-0) defeated Holy Spirit, 17-42
Junior Brittany Sedberry led a wave of four straight Raiders across
the finish to wrap up OC's 5th straight overall CAL championship and 9th in 12 years. Sedberry was
followed, within seconds, by Elizabeth Richardson, Allie Moreland & Kristin Cenicola. The win was the
57th straight for OCHS over six seasons.

South Jersey Coaches Tournament:
Girls Soccer (15-0-2) defeated Eastern, 3-1
Casey Curran, Gina Juliano and Kayla Ghanavati each scored as
the Raiders advanced to the semifinals against Cinnaminson.
South Jersey Coaches Tournament:
Boys Soccer (16-1) lost to Rancocas Valley, 1-1 (OT Shootout)
Will Kleva scored the Raiders' only goal. After two scoreless
overtimes, RV won the shootout, 3-1.
Thursday, October 21st
Boys Soccer (16-0) defeated Lower Cape May, 2-0
Rafael Duarte and Kyle Evans scored for the Raiders.
Girls CC (9-0) at CAL Meet (Richard Stockton)
Junior Brittany Sedberry finished 1st and sophomore Elizabeth
Richardson was 2nd in this meet with no team scoring.
Girls Soccer (14-0-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 6-0
Casey Curran scored twice and Jordan Webster earned the shutout.
Field Hockey (14-1-1) defeated Mainland, 2-0
Kate Poltorak & Kimmie Krzyk scored, Devon Seifert got the shutout.
The win clinched the division championship for OC.

Wednesday, October 20th
Girls Tennis (4-10) defeated Pleasantville, 5-0
Paige Thomas was a 6-0,6-0 winner at No. 1 singles with Kaitlin
DuRoss and Amanda Hiltner both also winning in straight sets.
Tuesday, October 19th
Boys Soccer (15-0) defeated Mainland, 3-0
The Raiders clinched the American Conference title for the 4th time
in the last 5 years. Mike Dugan fashioned the shutout and three different teammates scored, led by Kyle
Evans with a goal and an assist.
Girls Soccer (13-0-2) defeated Mainland, 4-1
OCHS clinched the American Conference title with the win. Four
different players scored for the Raiders, led by Katie Weiland with a goal and an assist.
Girls Tennis (3-10) at Lower Cape May - POSTPONED
Field Hockey (13-1-1) vs Millville - POSTPONED
Saturday, October 16th
South Jersey Coaches Tournament:
Girls Soccer (12-0-2) defeated Shawnee, 1-0
Sophomore Kayla Ghanavati scored her 1st varsity goal late in the
first half to provide the margin of victory. Abby Hansen registered nine saves with the shutout. OC goes to
Eastern in the quarterfinal round.
