Saturday, November 29th
Foot Locker Northeast Cross Country Championship
Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx NY
Brittany Sedberry finished 2nd in the seeded race, matching the best runners from 12 states and the District of Columbia. She qualified for the Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships in San Diego on December 13th. OCHS freshman John Fennekohl was 14th in the Freshmen Boys Race. Allie Moreland was 20th in the Junior Girls Race. Elizabeth Richardson was 23rd in the Freshmen Girls Race. Paul Boardman finished 49th in Junior Boys Race. Brian Riordan was 80th in the Senior Boys Race. And Matt Cowhey was 92nd in the Sophomore Boys Race.
Thursday, November 27th
Football (3-7) lost to Pleasantville, 16-10
Dave Beyel kicked a fourth quarter field goal to give OC the lead but Pleasantville rallied to score on a pass from Dominique Burrous to Hank Davis. Jim Crowley scored in the first quarter for the Raiders.
Saturday, November 22nd
Girls CC (10-0) finished 5th in NJSIAA Meet of Champions
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry finished FIRST and became the top runner in the entire state of New Jersey. It is the first time a runner from the Cape-Atlantic League has won the state's most prestigious cross country race.
Friday, November 21st
NJSIAA Group 3 State Final:
Boys Soccer (21-1-4) defeated Ramapo, 1-0
Rich Baker scored a first half goal and the OCHS defense was superb as the Raiders earned the fourth state championship, but the first by themselves. The other three were co-championships because the state final finished in a tie. Baker's goal was the first ever scored by an Ocean City player in the state final. The previous three appearances ended 0-0.
Monday, November 17th
NJSIAA Group 3 Semi-Finals:
Boys Soccer (20-1-4) defeated Princeton, 1-0
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo scored the only goal and Wes Yakopcic earned the shutout as the Raiders reached the state final for the 3rd time in 5 years and the 4th time overall. OC will play Friday night at The College of New Jersey.
Saturday, November 15th
Girls CC (10-0) finished 4th in NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
Brittany Sedberry won the Group 3 individual state championship, the first ever by a Raider sophomore. Brittany's time was 11 seconds faster than any of the other group champions, making her the favorite in the Meet of Champions. Allie Moreland was 29th and Molly Minehan 39th, though there was controversy about Minehan's placement. Natalie Chamberlain was 41st, Elizabeth Richardson 66th and Brenda Briney 68th. Despite the apparent official's error on Minehan's finish, the Raiders qualified for next Saturday's Meet of Champions as a wild card, OC's first appearance as a team in the MOC since 1995.
South Jersey Group 3 Final:
Field Hockey (21-2-1) lost to Kingsway, 1-0
OC's seventh straight trip to the South Jersey final ended in frustration.
Boys CC (7-2) finished 7th in NJSIAA Group 3 Meet (Holmdel)
Mike Long led the Raiders with a 15th place finish. Brian Riordan was 42nd, Paul Boardman 45th, Matt Cowhey 54th and John Fennekohl was 114th.
Football (3-6) lost to Woodrow Wilson, 21-8
Jim Crowley tossed a TD pass to J.R. Fenton with 12 seconds left in this NJSIAA consolation game to stretch OC's streak to 107 straight games without being shut out. Haneef Anderson scored all three of Wilson's TDs. The Raiders were intercepted four times and had a punt blocked. Starting QB Jordan Torroni was injured in the first half.
Friday, November 14th
South Jersey Group 3 Final:
Boys Soccer (19-1-4) defeated Oakcrest, 3-0
The Raiders won their 5th South Jersey championship & 4th in the last five years. Don Hamilton scored in the first half, Felipe Duarte and Kyle Evans in the second half & Wes Yakopcic tossed the shutout.
Thursday, November 13th
NJSIAA Group 3 Semi-Finals:
Field Hockey (21-1-1) defeated Hammonton, 3-0
Rachal Cheafsky scored all three goals - her second straight hat trick - as the Raiders advanced to the South Jersey final for the 7th straight season.
Tuesday, November 11th
South Jersey Group 3 Semi-Finals:
Boys Soccer (18-1-4) defeated Moorestown, 2-0
Don Hamilton & Rich Baker scored the goals and Wes Yakopcic earned the shutout as the Raiders reached the South Jersey final for the 6th time in the last 9 seasons. Ocean City will face Oakcrest for the title Friday at Carey Stadium.
Monday, November 10th
NJSIAA Group 3 Semi-Finals:
Girls Soccer (12-5-3) lost to Moorestown, 2-1 OT
Katie Ruiz scored early in the game for OC but Moorestown tied the game late in the second half and scored in the first minute of overtime. The Quakers will now face Lacey for the South Jersey title.
Saturday, November 8th
Girls CC (10-0) finished 1st in South Jersey Group 3 Meet
Brittany Sedberry repeated as South Jersey champion and helped the Raiders win the South Jersey title by 29 points under first-year coaches Trish Hopson & Bruce Welch. It was OC's first South Jersey title in cross country since Mike Naples' team won in 1993 and the sixth overall. Molly Minehan was 4th, Allie Moreland 7th and the trio of Sam King, Brenda Briney & Natalie Chamberlain crossed in 14th through 16th.
NJSIAA Group 3 Second Round:
Field Hockey (20-1-1) defeated Pinelands, 4-1
Rachel Cheafsky, South Jersey's leading scorer, notched another hat trick to increase her goal total for the season to 36. Nikki Hinsley scored the other goal, her 28th of the season. The Raiders face Hammonton in the semifinals, their third meeting of the year.
NJSIAA Group 3 Second Round:
Boys Soccer (17-1-4) defeated Highland, 2-1 OT
Rich Baker scored the game-winner one minute into the second overtime period. Baker also scored the first goal of the game. OC will face Moorestown in the semi-final round.
Boys CC (7-2) finished 2nd in South Jersey Group 3 Meet
The Raiders advanced to the state meet by finishing 34 points behind Highland and edged third place Moorestown by two points. Junior Mike Long was third overall with Brian Riordan 12th, John Fennekahl 20th, Matt Cowhey 28th and Paul Boardman 29th.
Football (3-5) lost to Millville, 13-6
George Coccodrilli ran 37 yards for a TD on the second play of the game but OC never scored again. Millville's Rich Forman carried 39 times for 145 yards & two TDs.
Thursday, November 6th
NJSIAA Group 3 Second Round:
Girls Soccer (12-4-3) defeated Kingsway, 2-1
Chelsea Hansen and Sarah Hays scored the goals for OC, which advanced to the South Jersey semifinals against Moorestown.
Tuesday, November 4th
Cape-Atlantic League Championship Game:
Boys Soccer (16-1-4) tied St. Augustine Prep, 0-0
Defense controlled the day and the Raiders will share the CAL title with the Hermits.
Monday, November 3rd
Cape-Atlantic League Championship Game:
Field Hockey (19-1-1) defeated St. Joseph, 3-1
Leslie Robinson, Rachel Cheafsky and Nikki Hinsley scored the goals as OC won its eighth CAL title and earned its 16th straight win.
Saturday, November 1st
Football (3-4) lost to Mainland, 28-6
OC held the No. 1 ranked team in South Jersey to a 7-0 lead until midway in the third quarter. The Raiders scored in the final two minutes on a pass from Jordan Torroni to Dave Beyel that stretched their streak to 105 straight games without being shut out.
Friday, October 31st
Girls Soccer (11-4-3) defeated Hammonton, 3-0
Brittany Downham scored twice and Jessica Davis once, all in the first half. Kristen Gray and Caitlyn Dougherty notched the shutout.
Field Hockey (18-1-1) tied Shawnee, 2-2
Krista Bordogna scored the tying goal in the final two minutes. Rachel Cheafsky notched her league-leading 32nd goal in the first half.
Thursday, October 30th
Field Hockey (18-1) defeated Hammonton, 3-0
The Raiders clinched the American Conference championship. Nikki Hinsley scored twice and Rachel Cheafsky once, bringing their combined total to 57 goals, easily the best of any one-two punch in South Jersey. Gwen Hunter & Michelle Cheek shared the shutout, the team's 13th of the season.
Girls CC (10-0) at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Sophomore Brittany Sedberry blistered the course, winning by more than a minute against the best runners in the league. Junior Allie Moreland was 3rd and seniors Molly Minehan and Brenda Briney were 4th & 5th, respectively. There was no team scoring but, had there been, the Raiders would have won easily.
Boys CC (7-2) at CAL Meet (Stockton)
Junior Mike Long was fifth overall, beating out a couple runners from CAL champion Mainland. He was six seconds behind Absegami's Ken Kyle.
Wednesday, October 29th
Boys Soccer (16-1-3) defeated Hammonton, 6-0
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo scored the hat trick and the Raiders completed an undefeated conference season. All the goals were by underclassmen - freshman Raphael Duarte scored twice and sophomore Kyle Evans once. Wes Yakopcic and Kyle Crego shared the shutout.
Monday, October 27th
Boys Soccer (15-1-3) tied Lower Cape May, 1-1
The tie allowed the Raiders to clinch the American Conference championship, setting up a CAL playoff with National Conference winner St. Augustine Prep. Don Hamilton scored the only OC goal in the game, stopped with 30 minutes left by rain and darkness.
Girls Soccer (10-4-3) defeated Lower Cape May, 10-0
The win clinched the Division Two championship of the American Conference for the OC girls. Kelly Heckler and Katie Ruiz each scored two goals. Caitlyn Dougherty fashioned the shutout.
Field Hockey (17-1) defeated Lower Cape May, 5-0
Kelsey Nickles scored twice with Rachel Cheafsky, Nikki Hinsley and Krista Bordogna also scoring. Cheafsky's goal was her league-leading 30th. Gwen Hunter got the shutout. The game was stopped early in the second half by rain.
Sunday, October 26th
Coaches Tournament Semi-Final:
Boys Soccer (15-1-2) lost to Shawnee, 2-1 (Rutgers-Camden)
The loss prevented OC from reaching the championship game for the second time in school history. Ed Menchaca tied the game in the second half on a pass from Don Hamilton. Shawnee, undefeated & ranked No. 1 in South Jersey, scored the winner a little over two minutes later. The loss snapped the Raider unbeaten streak at 17.
Saturday, October 25th
Field Hockey (16-1) defeated Cherokee, 3-1
Rachel Cheafsky scored twice (29 for the season) in the second half to break a 1-1 tie. Nikki Hinsley got the other goal as OC stretched its winning streak to 13.
Friday, October 24th
Football (3-3) defeated Academy Park PA, 21-14
The Raiders ended their 3-game losing streak with Chugger LaCasse scoring twice, on passes from Jim Crowley & Jordan Torroni. Dan Markman scored the other TD and a 2-point conversion.
Boys Soccer (15-0-2) defeated Bishop Eustace, 4-0
Don Hamilton scored twice and Wes Yakopcic earned his ninth shutout.
Girls Tennis (6-15) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 5-0
Ariel Pinkerton went three sets at No. 1 singles and the first doubles team of Kelly Levering & Erica Tony also took their match to the third set.
Thursday, October 23rd
Field Hockey (15-1) defeated Oakcrest, 6-0
Rachel Cheafsky scored three times, increasinging her league-leading total to 27 for the season. Nikki Hinsley scored twice and Kate Juzwiak once. Gwen Hunter and Michelle Cheek got the save.
Girls Soccer (9-4-3) defeated Oakcrest, 1-0
Maggie Davis scored in the final 13 minutes of the game to break a scoreless tie. Kristen Gray and Caitlyn Dougherty shared the shutout.
Girls Tennis (6-14) defeated Pleasantville, 5-0
Ariel Pinkerton, Kaitlyn DuRoss and Amanda Hiltner won the three singles matches in straight sets.
Wednesday, October 22nd
CAL Runoff:
Girls CC (10-0) defeated Bridgeton, 15-49
The Raiders won the overall league title for the 4th straight year. Brittany Sedberry led the way, more than a minute in front of the field. Molly Minehan was second, followed by Brenda Briney, Allie Moreland and Sam King. With the win, Briney finished her 4-year high school career without ever experiencing a team loss in a cross country dual meet, a record of 47-0.
Coaches Tournament:
Boys Soccer (14-0-2) defeated Lenape, 4-2
Rich Baker scored three goals and Don Hamilton one (with an assist from Baker) as the Raiders advanced to the semi-final round of the South Jersey Coaches Tournament. OC will face undefeated & No. 1 ranked Shawnee Sunday at Rutgers-Camden.
Girls Soccer (8-4-3) tied Toms River North, 2-2
Kelly Heckler & Katie Weiland scored for Ocean City.
Girls Tennis (5-14) defeated Oakcrest, 3-2
Ariel Pinkerton returned to the lineup at No. 1 singles and won. Both doubles teams were also winners - Erica Tony & Kelly Levering at first doubles, Katie Nell & Lindsey Herrera at second.
Tuesday, October 21st
Field Hockey (14-1) defeated Toms River North, 3-0
Rachel Cheafsky, Nikki Hinsley and Kelsey Nickles scored the goals and Gwen Hunter and Michelle Cheek combined for the shutout as the Raiders notched their 11th straight win.
Monday, October 20th
Boys Soccer (13-0-2) tied Oakcrest, 1-1
Sophomore Pat Tolomeo scored a second half goal to earn the tie but the Raiders failed to clinch the conference title.
Girls Tennis (4-14) lost to Mainland, 5-0
All five matches were decided in straight sets.
Saturday, October 18th
Football (2-3) lost to Vineland, 34-9
The Raiders were stopped at the Vineland two early in the 4th quarter with a chance to take a 15-14 lead. The undefeated Clan then scored 20 points in the final seven minutes for the win. Chugger LaCasse scored on a one-yard run & Dave Beyel kicked a 26-yard field goal. At halftime, Brenda Briney was crowned Homecoming Queen.
Friday, October 17th
Girls CC (9-0) finished 1st in Cape May County Meet
Brittany Sedberry was the individual champion, setting a course record. She was followed in 2nd thru 4th by Molly Minehan, Allie Moreland and Brenda Briney. It was OC's 19th county title in the 19 years of girls competition.
Boys CC (7-2) finished 1st in Cape May County Meet
Mike Long was 2nd, Brian Riordan 4th, Matt Cowhey 6th and John Fennekohl 7th as the Raiders won the team title for 4th straight year and 24th time overall. Joe Maloy of Wildwood Catholic was the individual champion.
Boys Soccer (13-0-1) defeated Cherokee, 3-0
Rich Baker scored twice and assisted Pat Tolomeo on the third goal in the South Jersey Coaches Tournament game. Wes Yakopcic fashioned the shutout. OC hosts Lenape, a 4-0 winner over Lower Cape May, on Oct. 24 in the second round.
Field Hockey (13-1) defeated Mainland, 4-1
Rachel Cheafsky scored twice, improving her league-leading goal total to 23, as the Raiders won their 10th straight. Nikki Hinsley & Krista Bordogna also scored.
Girls Soccer (8-4-2) defeated Mainland, 3-2
Maggie Davis scored in the final minute of play to give the Raiders the win and a share of first place in the division.
Thursday, October 16th
Girls Tennis (4-13) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
Raiders ended eight-match losing streak with Heather Thomas, Kaitlyn DuRoss and Jen Kirkpatrick getting straight-set wins at singles.
Wednesday, October 15th
Boys Soccer (12-0-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 4-1
Ed Menchaca scored two goals with Don Hamilton and Mike Mousaw each adding one.
Field Hockey (12-1) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 2-1
Rachel Cheafsky scored both goals, lifting her season total to 21.
Girls Soccer (7-4-2) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 4-0
Chelsea Hansen scored twice and Kristen Gray notched the shutout.
Girls Tennis (3-13) lost to Vineland, 5-0
Only Heather Thomas, at No. 1 singles, won a set against The Clan, ranked No. 6 in South Jersey.
Tuesday, October 14th
Girls CC (9-0) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 15-50
The Raiders shut out the Eagles to complete a fourth straight unbeaten conference season. Brittany Sedberry beat Allie Moreland by a stride at the finish, followed by Molly Minehan, Brenda Briney, Sam King, Erin Walsh, Elizabeth Richardson and Jasmine DeLanzo.
Boys Soccer (11-0-1) defeated Lower Cape May, 4-2
Don Hamilton scored twice as Raiders took control of conference race.
Field Hockey (11-1) defeated Absegami, 6-0
Rachel Cheafsky scored three times and Nikki Hinsley twice. Gwen Hunter got the shutout.
Boys CC (7-2) defeated Egg Harbor Township, 22-35
Mike Long, Brian Riordan, Matt Cowhey and John Fennekhol were the first four to finish and were within six seconds of each other.
Girls Soccer (6-4-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 7-0
Seven different players scored for the Raiders with Kristen Gray and Caitlyn Dougherty combining for the shutout.
Girls Tennis (3-12) lost to Absegami, 3-2
Kaitlyn DuRoss won in straight sets at No. 2 singles and the second doubles team of Katie Nell and Amanda Hiltner won in three sets.

Boys Soccer (10-0-1) defeated Cherry Hill East, 1-0 OT
Don Hamilton scored the only goal on a penalty kick in overtime. Wes Yakopcic earned his seventh shutout.
Field Hockey (10-1) defeated Lower Cape May, 10-0
Nikki Hinsley scored three times, lifting her season total to 16, and seven other Raiders scored once. Gwen Hunter and Michelle Cheek shared the shutout.
Girls CC (8-0) finished 2nd in South Jersey Open (Delsea)
Brittany Sedberry finished first and the Raiders were second to Moorestown in the Division II team scoring.
Boys CC (6-2) finished 2nd in South Jersey Open (Delsea)
OC was second to Moorestown in the Division II team scoring. Mike Long was sixth and Brian Riordan 11th.
Friday, October 10th
Football (2-2) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 18-15
Jim Crowley scored twice for OC, which led, 15-6, late in the third quarter. EHT scored the game-winner with 2:58 left.
Girls Soccer (5-4-2) tied Riverside, 2-2
Katie Weiland tied the game for OC with goal with less than seven minutes left. Chelsea Hansen also scored.
Girls Tennis (3-11) lost to Millville, 5-0
All matches were decided in straight sets by the Bolts, ranked No. 12 in South Jersey.
Wednesday, October 8th
Girls Tennis (3-10) lost to Lower Cape May, 4-1
Paige Thomas was the only OC winner at No. 3 singles.
Girls Soccer (5-4-1) lost to Absegami, 1-0
The Raiders lost to Gami for the second time.
Tuesday, October 7th
Girls CC (7-0) defeated Absegami, 15-49
Girls CC (8-0) defeated Millville, 15-50
The Raiders clinched their 4th straight conference championship and will face Bridgeton in the CAL Runoff. Brittany Sedberry was 1st followed by Allie Moreland, Molly Minehan, Brenda Briney, Sam King and Erin Walsh.
Boys Soccer (9-0-1) defeated Oakcrest, 5-0
Felipe Duarte scored twice & Wes Yakopcic picked up his 6th shutout. The loss was the first for Oakcrest in the division.
Field Hockey (9-1) defeated Oakcrest, 5-1
Rachel Cheafsky scored 4 times for the Raiders to spark their 6th straight win and stretch their home field unbeaten streak to 36.
Boys CC (5-2) defeated Absegami, 22-36
Boys CC (6-2) defeated Millville, 17-40
Brian Riordan was 2nd overall to spark two OC wins. Mike Long was 3rd, Matt Cowhey 4th & John Fennekohl 6th.
Girls Soccer (5-3-1) defeated Oakcrest, 2-0
Sarah Hays & Angela Juliano scored, Kristen Gray & Caitlin Dougherty teamed for the shutout.
Girls Tennis (3-9) vs Vineland - postponed
Monday, October 6th
Boys Soccer (9-0-1) tied Haddonfield, 2-2
Don Hamilton and Rafael Duarte scored the goals for a 2-0 lead but the unbeaten Haddons tied it with two in the second half.
Girls Tennis (3-9) lost to Bishop Eustace, 4-1
The second doubles team of Kelly Levering & Lindsey Herrera provided the lone OC win.
Saturday, October 4th
Football (2-1) lost to Absegami, 40-7
Doug Colman's team scored the final 33 points after Antwaine Campo tied the score in the 1st quarter on a 49-yard TD run. It was OC's worst loss since 1991. It was Hall of Fame Day with HOF induction awards being presented at halftime to Romeo Adelizzi & Mike Linahan plus a Memorable Performance Award to Mike Fadden.
Boys CC (4-2) at Shore Invitational (Holmdel Park) 9am
The Raider boys were fifth in Division C, led by Mike Long in 14th place. Brian Riordan was 22nd, Matt Cowhey 38th & John Fennekohl 46th.
Girls CC (6-0) at Shore Invitational (Holmdel Park) 9am
Brittany Sedberry finished 1st among scoring runners and the OC girls were second to Ridge in the Division C race. Allie Moreland was 12th, Molly Minehan 18th, Brenda Briney 21st and Natalie Chamberlain 36th. Sedberry was third overall among runners from all groups.
Friday, October 3rd
Boys Soccer (8-0) defeated Mainland, 3-1
Don Hamilton scored twice & Kyle Evans once.
Field Hockey (8-1) defeated Mainland, 2-0
Rachel Cheafsky & Nikki Hinsley scored the goals and Gwen Hunter completed another shutout.
Girls Soccer (4-3-1) lost to Mainland, 2-0
OC suffered its first division loss as Jane Dalzell scored the only two goals.
Girls Tennis (3-8) lost to Atlantic City, 4-1
The first doubles team of Paige Thomas & Kelly Levering got the only win.
Thursday, October 2nd
Girls Tennis (3-7) lost to Absegami, 3-2
Ariel Pinkerton & Heather Thomas won at the top two singles spots. The match was decided by a tight three-set match at first doubles.
Wednesday, October 1st
Boys Soccer (7-0) defeated Hammonton, 4-0
Kyle Evans scored twice and Wes Yakopcic earned his 5th shutout.
Field Hockey (7-1) defeated Hammonton, 4-0
Nikki Hinsley scored her second hat trick in three games and the combo of Gwen Hunter and Michelle Cheek fashioned the Raiders' 6th shutout. The loss was the first for the Devils, coached by former OCHS star Tracey LeFever, step-daughter of Raider coach Trish LeFever.
Girls Soccer (4-2-1) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
Maggie Davis scored the hat trick, getting all three goals in the second half to rally the Raiders from a scoreless first half. Kristen Gray and Caitlyn Dougherty combined for OC's third shutout.
Girls Tennis (3-6) lost to Egg Harbor Township, 4-1
The second doubles team of Kelly Levering & Lindsey Herrera notched the only win.
Tuesday, September 30th
Girls CC (5-0) defeated Hammonton, 15-50
Girls CC (6-0) defeated Vineland, 15-50
The Raiders clinched a division championship and can win the conference title on Tuesday. It was Brittany Sedberry, Allie Moreland, Molly Minehan, Brenda Briney, Sam King, Elizabeth Richardson, Jessica Azeez & Natalie Chamberlain finishing 1 thru 8 as the Raiders recorded two shutouts and stretched their five-year win streak to 43 straight meets.
Boys CC (3-2) defeated Vineland, 27-28
Boys CC (4-2) defeated Hammonton, 19-46
Mike Long beat Vineland's Nick Cuff to the line by one second, finishing first and pacing the one-point win over the Clan. Brian Riordan was 5th overall and Paul Boardman sixth.
Girls Tennis (3-5) defeated Bridgeton

Boys Soccer (6-0) defeated Absegami, 4-3
Filipe Duarte's second goal broke a 3-3 tie for the win. Kyle Evans also scored twice.
Field Hockey (6-1) defeated Absegami, 3-1
Rachel Cheafsky, Nikki Hinsley and Kelsey Nickles scored the goals.
Girls Soccer (3-2-1) lost to Absegami, 3-1
Kelly Heckler scored the only goal in OC's first conference loss.
Girls Tennis (2-5) defeated Oakcrest

Boys Soccer (5-0) defeated Middle Township, 4-0
Don Hamilton, Rafael Duarte, Kyle Evans and Brian Melchionni scored the goals. Wes Yakopcic recorded the shutout.
Field Hockey (5-1) defeated Woodstown, 4-0
Nikki Hinsley scored three goals and Rachel Cheafsky added her ninth of the season. Gwen Hunter & Michelle Cheek combined for the shutout.

Antwaine Campo & Dan Markman scored second half TDs and the Raiders defense forced five Atlantic City turnovers, including an interception & recovered fumble by Dan Jones.
Girls Soccer (3-1-1) defeated Williamstown, 1-0
Jessica Davis scored the only goal late in the first half. Kristen Gray earned the shutout.
Thursday, September 25th
Field Hockey (4-1) defeated Holy Spirit, 9-0
Rachel Cheafsky scored twice and seven others added single goals. Gwen Hunter and Michelle Cheek shared OC's fourth shutout.
Boys Soccer (4-0) defeated Mainland, 2-0
Kyle Evans scored a first half goal and Brazilian freshman Rafael Duarte added another in the second half. Wes Yakopcic notched his third shutout.
Wednesday, September 24th
Girls CC (3-0) defeated Atlantic City, 19-44
Girls CC (4-0) defeated Lower Cape May, 15-48
Brittany Sedberry was first, Brenda Briney third and Allie Moreland fourth, leading six OC runners home out of the first seven to finish. The win stretched the OCHS streak to 41 straight over five seasons.
Boys CC (1-2) defeated Lower Cape May, 18-41
Boys CC (2-2) defeated Atlantic City, 15-42
Mike Long & Paul Boardman finished one-two as the Raiders sent five of the first six across the finish line.
Girls Tennis (1-5) lost to Mainland, 4-1
Kelly Levering moved up to No. 3 singles and was OC's only winner. The Raiders played without No. 1 player Ariel Pinkerton.
Tuesday, September 23rd
Boys Soccer (3-0) defeated Millville, 7-1
Rich Baker had two goals & two assists for the Raiders.
Girls Soccer (2-1-1) defeated Millville, 3-0
Katie Weiland scored early in the second half to break a scoreless tie. Maggie Davis and Kelly Heckler added goals for Ocean City. Kristen Gray made 11 saves for the shutout.
Field Hockey (3-1) lost to Millville, 1-0
The loss ended a 32-game unbeaten streak for OC which stretches back to a 2001 loss to Millville.

Monday, September 22nd
Girls Tennis (1-4) defeated Hammonton, 5-0
Ariel Pinkerton, Kaitlyn DuRoss & Paige Thomas won the singles matches.
Girls Soccer (1-1-1) lost to Shawnee, 1-0
The Raiders' 1st loss is to the No. 4 ranked team in South Jersey.
Saturday, September 20th
Football (1-0) defeated Oakcrest, 13-6
Dan Markman & Jim Crowley scored the OC touchdowns. Chugger LaCasse had a key interception in the final three minutes. Oakcrest scored in the final 10 seconds of the 1st half on a pass to tight end Shea McKeen.
Boys CC (0-2) at Cherokee Challenge
John Fennekohl finished 10th in the freshman race, Mike Long was 13th in the junior race, Matt Cowhey was 18th in the sophomore race and Brian Riordan 25th in the senior race.
Girls CC (2-0) at Cherokee Challenge
Brittany Sedberry was 3rd in the sophomore race, Brenda Briney 4th in the senior race, Allie Moreland 6th in the junior race and Natalie Chamberlain 11th in the freshman race.

Brittany Sedberry, Brenda Briney and Allie Moreland were 1-2-3 across the finish line as the Raiders took early control of the conference race in the debut of new head coaches Trish Hopson & Bruce Welch.

Rachel Chaefsky knocked three into the nets and Nikki Hinsley added one. Gwen Hunter & Michelle Cheek made it three straight shutouts for OC.

Rich Baker scored twice and Wes Yakopcic came up with the shutout in goal.

Ariel Pinkerton & Kaitlin DuRoss were straight-set winners in singles. Both sets in Heather Thomas' singles loss went to the tiebreaker.

Rachel Chaefsky and Nikki Hinsley scored the goals and Gwen Hunter notched the shutout.

Rich Baker & Kyle Evans both scored twice in a game stopped at halftime by rain.

Chris Armstrong, Pat Lynch & Curt Nath also hired
Confirmation for Hopson & Welch to be co-head coaches in girls cross country came at the monthly Board of Education meeting. Armstrong will become head coach in boys track, Lynch an assistant wrestling coach and Nath assistant boys soccer coach.

Most head coaches from last year are returning and successors for two that aren't - Wayne Colman in boys track and Leo Chase in girls cross country - are expected to be approved in late August.
